Carr signed a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Predators on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Carr was named the 2018-19 AHL MVP after racking up 30 goals and 41 assists while posting a plus-35 rating in 52 games with Vegas' minor-league affiliate, a performance that has afforded him the opportunity to win a spot on Nashville's Opening Night roster during training camp. If the 27-year-old is able to secure a spot on the big club's 23-man roster, it will likely be as a rotational player, making it hard to trust him for fantasy purposes.

Carr was demoted to AHL Chicago on Wednesday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since being promoted in late November, Carr has played in six games for the Golden Knights in which he registered one goal, 11 shots and nine hits, while averaging just 9:50 of ice time. In a corresponding move, the club recalled Reid Duke from the Wolves.

Carr was promoted to the NHL on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Carr has racked up 22 points in 16 AHL games this season and certainly hopes his level of play translates to the NHL this time around. To this point in his career, Carr has struggled to keep general managers from perpetually hitting him with demotions and promotions. Perhaps this time though, the 27-year-old will stay in the show for good. To make room for Carr, Thomas Hyka was demoted to AHl Chicago.

Carr was waived by the Golden Knights on Monday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carr set career highs last season in games (38), assists (10) and points (16), but will have to work his way into a call-up, as the winger will be sent to AHL Chicago -- assuming he clears. The news of Carr's demotion likely bodes well for Alex Tuch's (undisclosed) availability for Opening Night.

Carr signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Golden Knights on Sunday, TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
At least in the lower hockey ranks, Carr has made a name for himself punishing defenders with his playmaking prowess, and this is particularly impressive since the Union College product went undrafted. The ex-Hab has driven in 14 goals to complement 20 assists over 94 games at hockey's highest level. All things considered, he'll be a solid depth option for the Golden Knights.

Carr netted his sixth goal of the season in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
Carr finished the 2017-18 season with 16 points in 38 games played while getting just 12:08 of ice time -- much of that on the fourth line with less skilled offensive players. It doesn't take much brain power to pro-rate that out to about 35 points over an 82-game season. That point total may not excite you, but for a general manager looking for value, Carr at less than $1 million a season is an affordable piece that can make an impact. He becomes a restricted free agent this summer, and a case can be made, as Marc Dumont of The Athletic Montreal attempts, that a team facing a salary-cap pinch should look at Carr as a cost-effective addition.

Carr recorded a power-play goal in Sunday's 2-1 home loss to the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
The Habs regained control of the puck in the attacking zone shortly after defenseman Nikita Scherbak committed a turnover, and Devils goalie Keith Kinkaid was unable to counter the odd-man rush from Mike Reilly, Artturi Lehkonen and Carr, who wound up with his fifth goal of the season. It was a nice play that temporarily energized the home crowd, but Carr simply doesn't get a lot of chances as a bottom-six role player. As a result, he can be ignored in most fantasy setups.

Carr scored a goal and five shots on net in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Carr was playing for the first time in six games and just the second time in the last 12. He had been a regular initially following his late-November callup from AHL Laval, but his ice time went away when he stopped scoring. If the Canadiens, as expected, ship off some veterans at the trade deadline, Carr will be well-positioned to take on a more regular role. Particularly if he can rediscover the scoring touch he had immediately after his callup.

Carr had two shots, five hits and a two-minute minor penalty over 11:23 of ice time in Thursday's 2-0 loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Carr, who had been a healthy scratch in eight of the previous 10 games, took the place of Logan Shaw and showed some energy with this rare opportunity. You can see that in his season-high five hits, which is not normally part of his game. Prior to Thursday, he had just 13 thumps across 16 games. From here on out, he'll be shuffling in and out of the lineup, mostly skating on the fourth line unless he can tap into the scoring touch he showed when he was first called up in December.

Carr is looking like a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against Colorado, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carr made a nice splash early after his callup from AHL Laval, registering 10 points in his first nine games with the Canadiens, but that scoring has dried up. He's pointless in his last seven and has been a healthy scratch five times in the team's last seven games. Head coach Claude Julien acknowledged the scoring drought's impact on Carr's time on ice, as well as his decision to allot more TOI to Jacob De La Rose.
