Boyle recorded a goal and went plus-4 in Thursday's win over the Avalanche.Boyle has goals in back-to-back contests to give him eight tallies on the season, putting him on pace to match or surpass the 12 he compiled with the Sharks in 2013-14. However, that's about the only category his numbers are up this season, as he's been absent from the scoresheet for lengthy stretches on multiple occasions. His brand name probably outstrips his fantasy value at this stage, but there's still a place for him in mid-sized or deeper leagues.

Boyle scored the eventual game-winning goal in Monday's 6-3 win over Florida. The deflection off the Panthers' defenseman wasn't the prettiest of goals, but that's goals in consecutive games for the veteran blue liner. While he's a proven point-getter over the course of his career, Boyle (11 points in 32 games) has gone six-or-more games without a point three times this season, so there's simply no way we can guarantee this recent uptick in production will continue. Consider his services, but with hesitant expectations.

Boyle scored a third period goal in Saturday's victory over Carolina. That's the veteran defenseman's first goal or point in eight games. While he's had spurts of productivity peppered in between injuries and illness, with just five goals and 10 points in just 31 games played, it's clear fantasy owners expected much more from the former 60-point scorer.

Boyle scored a power-play goal and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Kings. Boyle had a tough start to the year, breaking his hand in the season opener and struggling to produce after returning, but he's now quite literally in midseason form. The veteran blueliner's been performing at a point-per-game pace over the last seven games, with five of those points coming on the Rangers' white-hot man advantage.

Boyle ripped off a goal and an assist in Saturday's 6-1 whipping of the Sabres. Boyle provided the Rangers' only even-strength goal of a dominate first period that saw the team race to a 4-0 lead. The aging blueliner's first season on Broadway hasn't gone quite as most expected, but he's probably playing his best hockey right now. He's notched a point in four of his last five games, with Saturday marking his first multi-point showing of the campaign.

Boyle captured a power-play assist in Saturday's win over the Devils. Boyle has assists in back-to-back games, but he's still largely failed to make an impact since returning from a broken hand in mid-November. He's mustered just four points and 31 shots on goal over 17 games and has seen his ice time fall below 20 minutes in each of the last five matches.

Boyle returned Saturday after missing two games with an illness. He finished minus-1 with one SOG, two blocks and three hits. Get him back in there if you roll him regularly -- he's not blowing the doors off offensively, but he's still a solid fantasy contributor.

Boyle (illness) will be ready to play Saturday against the Red Wings, Andrew Gross of The Record reports. Boyle returned to practice Thursday after missing the previous two games with flu-like symptoms, which had drained him of energy over the previous four days. Now that he's ready to go, he'll slide in next to Ryan McDonagh on the Rangers' top pairing, with John Moore likely becoming a healthy scratch Saturday.

Boyle (flu) will not play Monday against the Lightning, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports. Boyle's illness is still classified as the flu at this point, but he will undergo blood tests Monday to make sure it's not something more serious.

Boyle will not play Saturday due to a bout with the flu, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Consider Boyle day-to-day with the illness. John Moore will enter the lineup Saturday in Boyle's place.
