Boyle logged an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Although it's his first point in four contests and just his third point (all assists) of the season, the point is a reflection of Boyle's (plus-4 over the last three games) improved play of late. As long as Boyle's positive play continues, head coach Alain Vigneault may need to hold off alternating the veteran blue liner with bruiser Dylan McIlrath as the team's sixth defenseman.

Boyle will return to the lineup Saturday against the Coyotes, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boyle missed the past two games as he has become a top candidate to watch games from the press box whenever the Rangers need to go with a more physical, shutdown type of defenseman, like Dylan McIlrath.

Boyle will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's tilt against Winnipeg, reports Andrew Gross of The Record.
EDGE Analysis
The writing was on the wall last season as Boyle began to show signs of a final decline. With former first round pick Dylan McIlrath expected to bring a more physical presence, but a lack of power play expertise like the former, it will be interesting to see how the team performs. If you do own Boyle in some format, it's not quite time to abandon ship as the veteran comes with $4.5 million cap-hit and will likely play again. How he responds in his next appearance should determine your next step.

Boyle potted a goal and dished out a power-play assist in Wednesday's Game 3 loss to the Lightning.
After an unexceptional regular season, Boyle has come on strong during the playoffs to give the Rangers an added scoring threat from the blue line. The veteran has three goals and five assists through 15 games, though only a minus-4 rating to show for it.

Boyle picked up a pair of power-play assists in Monday's Game 2 loss to the Lightning.
Boyle had a productive night all around, as he also tied for the team lead with five shots. After being on the receiving end of a big hit last week in the series against the Capitals, Boyle doesn't appeared to be slowed down.

Coach Alain Vigneault indicated Friday that Boyle (head) will play in Saturday's Game 1 matchup with the Lightning, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Boyle was a participant in Friday's practice, and is apparently doing well enough to give it a go in Game 1. The veteran blueliner logged plenty of minutes against the Capitals, and notched a goal in Game 6 on three shots. Assuming nothing occurs moving forward, he should be in line to see plenty of ice time in the Eastern Conference finals as well.

Boyle (head) is practicing Friday afternoon, Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News reports.
Boyle was removed from Wednesday's Game 7 against the Capitals midway through the third period, after taking a huge hit from defenseman Brooks Orpik. While his presence on the ice Friday doesn't guarantee anything, Boyle seemingly has a shot to suit up for Saturday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against Tampa Bay. If Boyle can't play, either Chris Summers or Matt Hunwick will likely join the lineup.
