Anderson stopped 22 of 25 shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Boston's final goal was scored into an empty net. Anderson delivered sharp performances in winning his first two starts for Buffalo, but the 40-year-old looked more like the fading netminder who failed to post a GAA under 3.25 in his final three campaigns with Ottawa before his brief four-game resurgence last year with the Caps. The Sabres don't have much in the way of better options in the crease, however, so Anderson could still see plenty of work this season even if he can't provide consistent results.

Anderson turned aside 32 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
The 40-year-old netminder has turned back the clock to begin the season, going 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .954 save percentage in his first two starts with the Sabres. Anderson's numbers will regress, and likely sooner rather than later, but for now he's at least worth considering for fantasy lineups in favorable matchups.

Anderson will get the starting nod for Tuesday's home clash with Vancouver, Ben Kuzma of The Vancouver Province reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson performed well in the season opener, as he made 30 of a possible 31 saves in a winning effort. The 40-year-old netminder should see the bulk of the workload this year but figures to share a portion of the starts with backup Dustin Tokarski.

Anderson stopped 30 of 31 shots in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
When he signed a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Sabres in the offseason, many questioned why the 40-year-old goalie would want to play for the 2020-21 last place team. On this night, the Jack Eichel-less Sabres showed up allowing just 31 shots and, with some help from a stellar Anderson, earned their first win of the season.

Anderson will be between the pipes for Thursday's home opener against Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson appears to have beaten out Dustin Tokarski for the starting job in Buffalo, though his hold on that spot should be considered tenuous at best. The 40-year-old backstop will be hard-pressed to compile wins this year given the team around him, so fantasy players will probably want to only utilize him in certain spots throughout the year.

Anderson will guard the home goal during Saturday's preseason finale versus Detroit, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson is expected to play the entirety of Saturday afternoon's contest. The 40-year-old netminder beat out Aaron Dell for the Sabres' backup job during training camp, so he'll likely be seeing regular action behind Dustin Tokarski in 2021-22.

Anderson will be between the pipes for Friday's home preseason matchup with Pittsburgh, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson will be making his debut for the Sabres after signing with the club in the offseason and is expected to play the first two periods. The starting job is certainly up for grabs in the Queen City with Anderson, Aaron Dell and Dustin Tokarski all in the mix to be named the Opening Night starter.

Anderson signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Sabres on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 40-year-old goalie has apparently decided to keep playing, linking up with a Sabres team in desperate need of goaltending after Linus Ullmark left for the Bruins in free agency. Anderson made four appearances in the regular season, posting a 2-1-0 record with a .915 save percentage for the Capitals last year. It's unclear what kind of workload Anderson might see with the Sabres, but their lackluster defense makes the veteran an unappealing option in fantasy.

Anderson (undisclosed) is expected to be available for Game 4 versus the Bruins on Friday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Peter Laviolette seemed more concerned with the status of Vitek Vanecek (lower body) than that of Anderson, who didn't dress Wednesday. While Anderson is considered healthy for Friday, Ilya Samsonov still seems like the more likely option to get the start. Anderson will likely return to a backup role, bumping Pheonix Copley out of the equation again.
