The helpers improved him to nine goals and 21 assists through 43 games, as Perry has shown a dip in scoring the past two seasons after recording just 19 goals and 53 points during the 2016-17 campaign. He remains a solid option in most settings, but he's no longer the fantasy stalwart of his prime years.

Perry had been held off the scoresheet in four straight games, but he got back on track with the extra man against New York. He's currently skating on the fourth line, but Perry has been credited with nine shots on goal in his last two games and remains dangerous with the man advantage. His bottom-six role isn't ideal from a fantasy perspective, but he still has plenty to offer in fantasy leagues with 25 points and 36 PIM through 38 games.

Perry also played 19:21, including 4:21 on the power play. As such, it seems like the veteran forward was ready and raring to go after a lengthy absence. His shooting has been down, he's put 67 shots on net in 32 games, so fantasy owners will have to hope the 32-year-old is able to find his old form now that he's healthy.

Perry (knee) is expected to return to the lineup Saturday night against the Flames, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.

While Perry technically remained on injured reserve, Stephens noted that "all signs" point to the veteran returning to action after he joined Adam Henrique and Nick Ritchie on the third line for an unrestricted morning skate. Consider using Perry in daily leagues Saturday since there's bound to be a great deal of casual players unaware that the perrenial power-play contributor with 22 total points (six goals, 16 assists) through 31 games is on the verge of returning.

Coach Randy Carlyle did clarify that although Perry is expected to travel with the team, he was uncertain on whether the winger will actually suit up during the trip. At this point, it seems more likely that the veteran will use the time with the team to work on his rehab and focus on coming back after the Ducks bye week. Getting the 32-year-old back will provide a huge boost to Anaheim's offense, considering he put up 22 points in 31 appearances prior to getting hurt.

The Ducks placed Perry (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, TSN reports.
