Perry (foot) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jackets, Sean Shapiro of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Perry's debut with the Stars has been delayed by a broken foot, but it appears the wait is coming to an end soon. The Stars will likely deploy Perry in a bottom-six role, but the longtime Anaheim Duck can contribute as a net-front presence on the power play. Perry is expected to take Justin Dowling's place in the lineup if he's cleared before puck drop.

Perry (foot) is looking to return to action against the Penguins on Oct. 18, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Perry has been skating since Tuesday, supporting the notion that his return to action is imminent. The Stars could use a spark in the lineup, as they are 1-3-1 so far and have averaged 2.4 goals per game. Perry figures to slot into the middle six with power-play responsibilities when he's ready.

Perry (foot) resumed skating Tuesday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Perry still isn't expected to be ready to draw into the lineup until next week at the earliest, but it's still nice to see him making progress in his recovery. Another update on the veteran forward's status should surface once he's cleared for contact.

Perry will be out at least two more weeks with a broken foot, Sean Shapiro of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the same exact news we heard just over two weeks ago, so a return in two weeks might be on the optimistic side for Perry's injury. He'll miss at least the first five games of the season.

Perry will be held out of action for two weeks due to a broken foot, Sean Shapiro of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Perry should be ready for the Stars' Oct. 3 regular-season opener against the Bruins, but he'll have some major rust to knock off after missing the entirety of Dallas' preseason schedule. The former Duck will be looking to bounce back in 2019-20 after notching just 10 points in 31 games during an injury-marred 2018-19 campaign.

Perry signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract, plus a $1.75 million performance bonus, with the Stars on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Dallas is clearly in win-now mode, having brought in a pair of accomplished veterans in Perry and Joe Pavelski. Injuries have started to take their toll on Perry and limited him to just 10 points in 31 games with Anaheim last season, but a healthier campaign could see the six-time 30-goal scorer share the ice with the likes of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. If Perry has anything left in the tank, this could be the destination that brings out his best hockey.

Perry is expected to join the Stars when free agency begins, Frank Seravalli of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Perry was bought out by the Ducks earlier this month after scoring just 10 points in 31 games last season. The former Hart Memorial winner could be a nice low-risk, high-reward player for the Stars as they look to make a Stanley Cup run.

Perry's contract was bought out by Anaheim on Wednesday, allowing him to hit the free-agent market July 1.
EDGE Analysis
Perry was holding a no-movement clause that prevented the club from finding suitable trade partners. The center had two years remaining on the eight-year, $69 million deal he signed in March of 2013. The Ducks will save $6 million in cap space for the upcoming 2019-20 campaign. Injuries limited Perry to just 31 appearances this season, in which he tallied six goals, four assists and 59 shots. Even at 34 years of age, the four-time All-Star and 2011 Hart Trophy winner can provide solid depth scoring and will no doubt try to sign with a contender for 2019-20.

Perry scored six goals and added four assists over 31 games in the 2018-19 season.
EDGE Analysis
Perry missed the first 51 games of the season with a knee injury. He clearly didn't return at full strength as this was the lowest point-per-game pace of his career and his minus-16 is the worst mark of his career. Perry's still being paid $8.625 million -- currently the highest salary on the team -- for the next two years, so the Ducks are hoping he can spend the summer recovering and come back closer to his old self next year.

Perry scored a goal in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
His score ended a six-game pointless slump. Any production for Perry is simply consolation after he missed the first 51 games due to a knee injury and has been struggling offensively with just 10 points in 29 games. The 33-year-old also comes in at a minus-14 rating, which would be the worst mark of his career. A lot of these issues could be attributed to a slow return from injury, but the Ducks have plenty of reasons to be concerned considering they're on the hook for two more years of Perry's $8.625 million AAV contract.
