Corey Crawford stopped all 17 shots the Predators fired in his direction in a 3-0 shutout win on Sunday.
Coach Joel Quenneville clearly made the right call by going back to Crawford after Ray Emery had recently played a couple of effective games. With the Blackhawks rolling as they have been, Crawford is a fantastic fantasy commodity.

Corey Crawford will be between the pipes for Chicago when they take on the Predators on Sunday.
Ray Emery played another solid game in defeat of the Coyotes on Thursday, however coach Joel Quenneville has chosen to go back to his number one starter in Crawford. "We're going to ride him," Quenneville said. "Ray has done a great job so it's a good situation to be in where both guys get the net. Corey is going to get the bulk of it but both guys deserve to play."

Corey Crawford turned aside 30 of the 33 shots he faced, as the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the San Jose Sharks 5-3 on Tuesday evening.
After two straight overtime losses, Crawford bounced back with a solid effort against the Sharks. All three goals came in the first period, but he settled down from there. He remains undefeated in regulation this season. Fantasy owners should be very pleased with Crawford's performance so far. Continue riding him until Chicago is slows down.

Corey Crawford is the probable netminder for Chicago's game against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday.
Crawford hasn't allowed more than two goals in any of his first six starts. He's had success against the Vancouver Canucks in the past, despite the fact that his team came up short against them in the 2011 playoffs. Still, this should serve to be a big test to see if Crawford's in the midst of an early hot streak or has genuinely turned a corner after his rough sophomore campaign.

Even with the loss, Chicago (6-0-1) has earned a point in every game this season. Crawford is really rebounding nicely this season; he hasn't given up more than two goals in any of his six starts. Start him with confidence until his performance dictates otherwise.

Corey Crawford is looking to stay consistent and focused this season after struggling in 2011-12.
Crawford had a 2.72 GAA and .903 save percentage in 57 games last season. "I felt I played great hockey at times, but then some other times it was below-average," Crawford said. "You can't do that. You've got to be good every night and give your guys a chance. This year, I've been able to stay pretty focused all game." Eventually, Crawford will have a rough start and the question will be how he responds to it. So far though, he's been the ideal fantasy goaltender.

Corey Crawford has been selected as the second star of the week by the NHL.
The Chicago keeper has posted five straight wins to start the 2013 season to go with a 1.78 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage. It's been a great turnaround for Crawford so far after he struggled with consistency last season and the Blackhawks are giving him plenty of support offensively.
