Crawford (upper body) will not join the Blackhawks for their two-game road trip, Tracey Myers of the CSN Chicago reports.
Coach Joel Quenneville acknowledged that Crawford could start skating on his own over the next few days, but he wouldn't have been back to full health by the end of the team's road trip. The Blackhawks are still labeling his injury as a day-to-day ailment, with the hope that he'll be able to return to the net at some point during the team's homestand beginning Oct. 26. While he's out, Antti Raanta figures to make both of the next two starts for the Blackhawks, though the newly-recalled Scott Darling could also be called upon to make a turn.

Crawford (upper body) didn't practice Wednesday, Scott King of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Crawford didn't start Tuesday due to the unspecified upper-body injury. The fact that he was held out of practice Wednesday leaves his status in doubt for Thursday's game against the Predators. If he can't go, Antti Raanta will likely receive another start in net.

Crawford is actually dealing with an upper body injury, and not an illness as first reported, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The extent of Crawford's injury is uncertain, but it clouds his status for the Blackhawks' next couple games more than an illness would have. Antti Raanta will start in Crawford's place Tuesday and serve as Chicago's primary goaltender until Crawford is able to get back between the pipes.

Crawford has a terrific 3-0-1 record to start the season and is yet to allow more than two goals in a game. You really can't do much better, especially when you look at the dynamic team playing in front of him. Look for Crawford to rack up 30-plus wins once again this season.

Crawford allowed two goals on 18 shots in Wednesday's OT loss to the Flames.
Crawford was solid in net for most of the night, but let Mikael Backlund wrist one past him with less than a minute to go in overtime to seal the deal. Despite the outcome, the Hawks severely outplayed the Flames, and a game like this will earn Crawford a win on most nights.

Crawford will be in goal for Wednesday's game against the Flames, CSN's Tracey Myers reports.
Crawford will look to make it three straight victories after picking up the win in his first two starts of the season. He will take on a spotty Calgary squad that lit the lamp twice in its first game, five times in its second, and just once its third contest.
