Corey Crawford didn't have his best night, making only 17 saves, but he did come out with the win as the Chicago Blackhawks topped the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night 4-3 in a shootout.
With a 3-1 lead in the third period, Crawford gave up two goals on seven shots in the final frame. The netminder has had a rough season, but he's flipped it into high gear in March, just when the Hawks need him most. Even though he's given up seven goals over his last three starts, he still has played his best this month: a 1.52 goals-against average and .931 save percentage. His overall improvement has helped the Blackhawks grab the sixth spot in the Western Conference.

Corey Crawford allowed just one goal on 22 shots, but didn't earn a victory as Chicago dropped a 2-1 shootout decision to the Devils Tuesday.
Crawford was shelled in his last outing against the Predators so it's very telling that he earned the starting nod again on this night and delivered a solid performance.

Corey Crawford didn't have a very good game last Sunday, allowing four goals on 15 shots in an abbreviated appearance in a 6-1 loss to the Nashville Predators, but look for the goalie to be back starting again when the Chicago Blackhawks visit the New Jersey Devils tonight.
Crawford remains the Hawks' No. 1 goalie and the coaching staff still has faith in him. For now.

Corey Crawford allowed four goals on 15 shots in an abbreviated appearance in a 6-1 loss to Nashville Sunday.
Crawford had previously posted three straight wins, but as has been the case all season, he has registered a shaky outing amidst an otherwise strong stretch of play. Ray Emery entered the game in relief of Crawford and allowed two goals on nine shots.

He's been on a tear as of late with five wins in a row. Start Crawford with confidence against the Preds.

Corey Crawford turned aside 23 of 24 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Canucks Wednesday night.
The win is the fourth in a row for the goalkeeper, who is pushing Ray Emery further down the bench with every victory. Though he has yet to register a shutout this season, Crawford is a solid option down the stretch.

Corey Crawford was just 7:29 minutes shy of getting his first shutout of the 2011-12 campaign on Tuesday.
"We're more worried about two points but, yeah, it would be nice once in a while," Crawford said. With just eight games remaining in Chicago's schedule, it seems likely that he'll end up with no shutouts this season. That being said, he has allowed just four goals in his last three starts and might have taken the starting job back from Ray Emery.

Corey Crawford blocked 24 of 25 shots in a 5-1 victory over Columbus Tuesday.
His shutout was broken by Rick Nash in the third period, but he did notch his third consecutive win and appears to still have a leg up on Ray Emery in their goaltending battle.

Corey Crawford will be back between the pipes when the Blackhawks visit the lowly Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.
Crawford has once again put a stranglehold on the starting-goaltender's job for the Hawks as Ray Emery fell short on his opportunity to wrestle the role away. Crawford was selected the other day as the NHL's second star of the week after posting a 1.09 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage in three games last week.

Corey Crawford has been selected as the NHL's second star of the week.
Crawford might have finally turned a corner with a 1.09 GAA and .948 save percentage in three games last week. Until recently, it looked like he had surrendered the starting job, but now he should get another chance.
