Stewart has one assist with a plus-2 rating and five PIM in four games this season.
EDGE Analysis
Considering he's been with the Flyers on a full-time basis for a mere 10 days, that's not bad at all. In the early going, he appears to be back to his 2016-17 form when he recorded 94 PIM. However, outside of maybe penalty minutes, Stewart doesn't excel in any particular category, making him hard to roster in any format. In his last full NHL season, Stewart posted 10 goals and 16 points with a minus-5 rating and 27 PIM in 54 games during 2017-18.

Stewart signed a one-year, one-way contract with Philadelphia on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Stewart attended Philadelphia's training camp on a professional tryout agreement, but was unable to land a deal prior to the start of the regular season. The Flyers evidently liked what they saw in terms of the winger's size and veteran leadership during camp, which led to them coming to terms with the 31-year-old less than two weeks into the campaign. Stewart should be a solid rotational option for Philadelphia in 2019-20, but he won't be worth roster consideration in fantasy circles.

Stewart, who was attending Philadelphia's training camp on a professional tryout agreement, did not make the team's final roster.
EDGE Analysis
Stewart hasn't appeared in an NHL game since 2017-18 when he notched 16 points in 54 games split between Calgary and Minnesota. The 31-year-old vet will likely either have to settle for a two-way deal in North America or head overseas to continue his playing career.

Stewart signed a professional tryout offer with the Flyers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Stewart signed a one-year contract with HC Slovan Bratislava of the KHL ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, but he ultimately backed out of the deal citing "serious family problems." The 31-year-old winger, who notched 16 points in 54 games split between the Flames and Wild in 2017-18, will now attempt to make an NHL comeback. Stewart should be considered a longshot to make Philadelphia's roster, but it's possible new head coach Alain Vigneault will be intrigued by his gritty nature.

Stewart did not end up reporting to HC Slovan Bratislava (KHL) to honor his one-year contract, citing "serious family problems," Czech news source Hokej.cz reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appears that Stewart has played his last game of competitive hockey. The NHL journeyman compiled 10 goals and six assists over 54 games between the Wild and Flames in 2017-18.

Stewart has joined HC Slovan Bratislava (KHL) on a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Stewart logged 54 games split between the Wild and Flames last season, in which he tallied 10 goals and six helpers. The winger will make his first foray into the KHL, having previously spent time in Germany and the Czech Republic during the 2012-13 lockout. This could mark the end of the veteran's NHL career, which would see him retire having tallied 160 goals, 161 assists and 729 PIM in 652 outings.

Stewart appeared in 54 total games in 2017-18 playing for both Minnesota and Calgary, scoring 16 points (10 goals, six assists) and recording 27 penalty minutes and 48 hits.
EDGE Analysis
After skating for 79 games in 2016-17 for Minnesota it was mildly surprising to see Stewart hit the waiver wire, but there simply wasn't room for him on the wing as youngsters such as Luke Kunin (knee) and Jordan Greenway were being featured during the stretch run -- at least before Kunin's ACL tear. With Calgary, the 30-year-old was able to score a goal and two assists in seven games, but was also a healthy scratch for eight of 15 contests to close the season. Surprisingly, after having more than 60 penalty minutes five of the last six seasons, Stewart saw his physicality dip as he just recorded 27 penalty minutes, and only 48 hits. Stewart is set to be an unrestricted free agent, and if he doesn't return to Calgary, he should be able to find a bottom-six forward role somewhere in the league. After all, Stewart has a largely overlooked but useful skill set, as dating back to 2015-16 he's potted of 6 of his 7 shootout attempts and has a 42.9 career percentage.

Stewart registered his first goal as a member of the Flames in Thursday's clash with Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Stewart started the 2017-18 strong, going so far as to earn time on Minnesota's top line. An extended slump saw him hit the trade block and he was shipped off to Calgary. The winger appears to have found his scoring touch with one goals and two helpers in his prior four contests. If he continue to perform well down the stretch, the 2006 first-round pick could offer some decent mid-range value in certain formats.

Stewart was claimed off waivers by the Stars on Monday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stewart played in a mere five of the Wild's previous 15 outings, so it wasn't a shock to see him land on waivers. Instead of heading to AHL Iowa, the winger will now join the Flames, where he will likely challenge Curtis Lazar and Troy Brouwer for ice time. With 13 points in 47 outings, the 29-year-old should be capable of recording a 10th consecutive 20-plus point campaign.

Stewart was placed on waivers by Minnesota on Sunday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Minnesota was unable to facilitate a deal for Stewart, they resorted to waiving the veteran in order to maintain flexibility with two-way players that aren't on the roster at the moment, such as Luke Kunin. Stewart has played in 47 games this season and scored nine goals, and is surprisingly good at shootouts -- he's potted six of his last seven attempts in the overtime skills competition. It would be rather surprising to not see him be claimed by a NHL team.
