Kreider set up Adam Fox's power-play tally in the second period as the Rangers took a 2-0 lead, then scored his 30th goal of the season into an empty net to reestablish the two-goal lead at 3-1 in the third. The late-blooming winger has reached the 30-goal mark in each of the last three seasons after failing to previously hit that milestone in a career that started in the 2012 postseason. Of Kreider's 295 career regular-season goals, 118 have come since the start of the 2021-22 campaign.

Overall, Kreider's up to 51 points (27 goals, 24 assists) through 54 games this year.

Kreider tallied the Rangers' second goal and later helped out on Mika Zibanejad's overtime goal to finish the game. After racking up 13 points in the past 13 contests, this is only Kreider's second multi-point effort since Jan. 27. The 32-year-old winger has returned solid value with six goals, nine helpers, 65 shots on net, 21 hits, three blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-6 rating through the 17 contests in January and February. The Rangers will play host to the Flames on Monday.

Kreider was unable to find the back of the net against the Avs on Monday despite putting a season-high seven shots on net.

Kreider's lack of a goal Monday shouldn't be too concerning to fantasy players considering he has racked up 23 tallies this season and is well on his way to a third straight 35-goal campaign. While the 32-year-old winger's 52-goal 2021-22 campaign certainly appears to be a fluke, he remains a top-end fantasy contributor and constant goal threat.

With the game still in the balance in the third period, Kreider rushed up the left wing, shot the puck on net and as it bounced off Lukas Dostal's pads he batted it out of the air into the top corner. It was a spectacular insurance goal for the Rangers, one that was capped off with two assists on goals by Artemi Panarin and Vincent Trocheck. He also added two PIM, four shots on net, two hits and a plus-2 rating in 17:43 TOI. During his recent four-game point streak, Kreider has six points (two goals and four assists) and 10 shots on goal.

Kreider has helpers in four of his last five games, including two with the man advantage, but he remains mired in a seven-game goal drought. Despite the recent slump, the 32-year-old winger has already reached the 20-goal threshold this season and should push to get back over 40 markers after coming up just four goals shy last season.

Kreider has been running hot and cold lately despite having three multi-point performances in his last four outings. He only had one goal and one helper in eight contests prior to his recent hot play. The 32-year-old is up to 16 goals and 28 points through 31 games this season.

Kreider is having another dynamic season with 16 goals and 24 points in 28 contests, scoring half of his tallies on the man advantage -- equaling his total of eight power-play goals from 2022-23 in 51 fewer games.

Kreider (lower body) will be in the lineup Saturday versus the Capitals, according to Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today.

Kreider was not able to practice Thursday due to a lower-body issue, but he won't miss any game action. He has accounted for 14 goals, 22 points, 59 shots on net and 21 hits over 24 contests this campaign.
