Coyle scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle tallied at 16:14 of the second period, sparking a stretch of three goals in 1:39 for the Bruins to take control. The goal was Coyle's third of the year -- the 28-year-old also has a pair of assists and 24 shots on net in 16 outings. With David Krejci (lower body) out, Coyle worked in a second-line role. The more time Krejci misses, the longer Coyle will have to stake a claim to more playing time.

Coyle (upper body) had one shot and won seven of 13 faceoffs (53.8 percent) in Monday's win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle was right back in the lineup despite suffering an injury two days earlier against the Capitals. He had a quiet night in the rematch but was able to log just under 16 minutes of ice time. Coyle has produced two goals and two assists in nine games this season.

Coyle (upper body) is expected to be in the lineup against Washington on Monday, Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to getting hurt, Coyle recorded two goals on 11 shots, two assists and five hits in his last five contests in which he logged 16:34 of ice time. The Massachusetts native figures to slot into a third-line center role and could rejoin the No. 2 power-play unit, as well.

Coyle has an upper-body injury and is questionable for Monday's game versus the Capitals, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle logged 17:33 of ice time and four shots on net in Saturday's loss to the Capitals. The 28-year-old will be re-evaluated Monday, and there should be a better idea of his status following the team's morning skate. Sean Kuraly and Greg McKegg are both viable options to fill in if Coyle can't go.

Coyle fashioned a goal and an assist Saturday in a 6-1 rout over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy has thrust Coyle into a prominent role, with the American pivot averaging a career high in ice time (17:54) through five contests. While Coyle has yet to convert on the man advantage, he's a fixture on the No. 2 power-play unit, so we'd expect him to make some noise in that department soon enough.

Coyle scored his first goal of the season in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't until 57 seconds into the third period of the team's fourth game of the season that the Bruins scored their first 5-on-5 goal, which was notched by Jack Studnicka. Just over a minute later, Coyle's tally tied the score at 2-2. With Coyle, who centered the Bruins' third line Thursday (along with Anders Bjork and Craig Smith) now on the board and the team's even-strength woes hopefully a thing of the past, look for the 28-year-old's scoring pace to pick up some. The fact that Coyle's been skating on Boston's second power-play unit of late should help in that regard.

Coyle saw 20:31 worth of ice time in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
Among the Bruins' forwards, only Brad Marchand (22:01) saw more ice time in the team's season opener. Though Coyle is Boston's third-line center, his fantasy cause is bolstered by the fact that he's seeing power-play duty (4:24 on Thursday). His projected linemates early on are Nick Ritchie and when healthy, Craig Smith (lower body).

Coyle scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over Tampa Bay to open the second round.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle broke a scoreless tie with 68 seconds left in the second period, making a superb, chest-high deflection of a point shot while stationed at the bottom of the faceoff circle. Coyle, who also won five of nine faceoffs (55.9 percent), has three goals and an assist in his last six games. He had gone without a point in in his first four playoff games.

Coyle scored a power-play goal and added a short-handed assist Saturday in the Bruins' 3-1 win over the Hurricanes during Game 3 of their first-round series.
EDGE Analysis
He opened the scoring 14 seconds into the second period by batting the rebound of a Brad Marchand shot out of midair and over the shoulder of Petr Mrazek, then got the primary helper on the game-winning goal early in the third when Sean Kuraly deflected his shot into the bottom corner of the net. Coyle had only one point, a goal in Game 1, through five playoff games coming into Saturday, but his role with the man advantage -- he saw nearly six minutes of power-play time in this one with David Pastrnak (undisclosed) sidelined -- could allow him to catch fire.

Coyle scored a goal on two shots while adding two PIM and two hits Wednesday in a 4-3 double-overtime win over Carolina in Game 1. He also won 10 of 13 (76.9 percent) faceoffs.
EDGE Analysis
Coyle's goal, which put the Bruins ahead 2-1 early in the second period, was the game's most controversial moment. The puck was gloved out of the air by a Boston skater and Carolina goaltender Petr Mrazek appeared to have smothered it, but it squirted free to Coyle, who sent it into the open net. After video review, it was determined that Mrazek had possession of the puck long enough to negate the potential Boston hand pass. Coyle was an important cog for the Bruins during the 2018-19 postseason, scoring nine goals and seven assists in 16 games.
