Coyle, who is bouncing back from an offseason knee procedure, looked sharp in his return to game action, with Joe Haggerty of BostonHockeyNow.com noting that the Bruins' projected No. 2 center "couldn't have looked better, healthier and more the embodiment of his speed/power combination" on Wednesday. Though the 29-year-old recorded just six goals and 16 points through 51 contests last season, Coyle appears primed for an uptick in production in 2021-22, now that he's past his knee woes and in line to help fill the void created by the offseason departure of long-time second-line pivot David Krejci.
