Rust (lower body) won't play in the Pens' final two games of the regular season.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy winger has scored four goals and 11 points in 41 games. Though his fantasy value is limited, he keeps opponents on its heels with his blazing speed.

Rust (lower body) is not close to returning to the lineup. "He's not there yet, he's still in a similar circumstance," coach Mike Sullivan said Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy winger had points in just two of his last nine games but helps spreads the defense with his speed. It sounds as though he may miss the rest of the regular season, given that only four games remain after Saturday.

Rust is day-to-day after suffering a lower-body injury Tuesday and will not suit up for Thursday's matchup with Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Rust may not be the most prolific scorer, but his speed and determination on the Penguins' third line has been crucial to the team's recent surge. Averaging just 12:30 of ice time per game and 12 PIM, the winger has limited fantasy value. As such, an extended absence should have little impact on your fantasy lineups.

Rust bagged a goal and an assist in Sunday's win over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Rust also finished with a plus-3 rating in the contest, rounding out a highly productive outing. The 23-year-old has tallied six points in his last eight games, but that kind of consistent production may be hard to maintain for the bottom-six forward.

Rust signed a two-year, one-way contract extension with the Penguins on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Rust has turned it on recently, as he's tallied four points in his last five contests. The 23-year-old has missed only one game since being recalled in early January and has logged a considerable number of minutes for Pittsburgh. In March alone, the winger is averaging 13:49 of ice time, over a minute more than his season average. While his fantasy value is limited due to his absence from the power play, Rust plays with speed and determination, something that can't be overlooked on the ice.

Rust recorded a goal and two assists in Sunday's 6-1 victory over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
It was a monster game for the 23-year-old, who's in his third stint with the Penguins this season. He's jumped back and forth between the AHL and NHL, but seems to have found a nice role on Pittsburgh's third line. He's been up with the team since early January, and appears to have a solid roster spot. Rust has just seven points in 30 games with the big club, but now has four points in his last four games.

Rust was unable to get one past Braden Holtby, despite rifling six shots on net in Tuesday's 3-2 defeat to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Although he has tallied only one assist in his last five outings, Rust brings energy and pace to the Penguins' third line, something Pittsburgh will rely on as they push for a wildcard playoff spot. The 23-year-old's ability to get to loose pucks and win battles in the corners hasn't translated into fantasy value, but shows the potential to make an impact is there.

Rust scored his first goal of the season Saturday in a 3-1 win over the Canadiens. It stood up as the game winner.
EDGE Analysis
It was a sweet snipe -- Rust beat Mike Condon top shelf on a breakaway. It was just his second career goal. Rust was recalled this week to try to inject some offence into the Pens' bottom six and it worked. Just don't snag him off the wire just yet. We're pretty sure Rust is headed back to the AHL soon.

Rust was recalled by the Penguins on Thursday, Jenn Menendez of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rust and Tom Kuhnhackl were both recalled by the Penguins on Thursday, an apparent attempt by the team to create an offensive spark by shaking up their depth at forward. Rust has tallied six shots on goal in five games with the Penguins this season, and will likely slot in as a bottom-six forward if he's able to crack Pittsburgh's lineup.

Rust is heading back to AHL Wilkes-Barre Scranton Tuesday to play with the Baby Pens.
EDGE Analysis
Rust has failed to crack the lineup since suffering an arm injury in October. The forward was recalled to fill a roster spot with the injury to Sidney Crosby, but will be headed back to the AHL. In his five games this season, the 23-year-old is yet to register a point.
