McGinn (undisclosed) won't play Sunday against Calgary, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
McGinn missed Saturday's game, and coach Bill Peters said he was "highly questionable" for Sunday's matchup, so it isn't much of a surprise that he won't lace up the skates against the Flames. His next chance to play will come Tuesday in Florida for a tilt with the Panthers.

McGinn (undisclosed) is considered "highly questionable" by coach Bill Peters, but will be a game-time call for Sunday's contest against the Flames, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
McGinn was ruled out for the contest Saturday, but must have made incremental progress over the night. It still seems unlikely he will be available, but an official designation of his status should arrive when the team takes the ice for warmups.

McGinn (undisclosed) missed Saturday's practice and he will not play in Sunday's home game against the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
Hurricanes coach Bill Peters did not disclose the reason for McGinn's upcoming absence, but it's not as if the winger had been in a prime fantasy position anyway; he's averaged a mere 12:33 of ice time per contest, with that bottom-six role yielding a mere 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 41 games. Derek Ryan should sub in at left wing.

McGinn picked up an assist with a plus-1 rating in Friday's 3-0 win against the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
After a four-goal, seven-point flurry from Jan. 10-14, McGinn has managed just two assists with a minus-10 rating over the past 14 games. He has shown glimpses of brilliance in the past, but his fantasy appeal remains limited to the deepest of pools until he starts finding the scoresheet with regularity.

McGinn scored a goal and added three assists with three shots on net during Saturday's win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
With four goals and three assists during his current three-game point streak, McGinn is officially heating up. However, before overreacting to the recent outburst, it would be wise to remember he had just one goal and five points through his prior 24 contests. He's still just a player to monitor outside of cavernous seasonal settings.

McGinn scored two goals in Friday's 5-2 win against the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a challenging first full season in the bigs for McGinn. Relegated to mostly checking-line duty earlier in the season, he totaled just three points in his first 20 games to the end of December. Since then, however, he's been moved up to the second line with Jordan Staal and Elias Lindholm and has five points (3G, 2A) in five games so far in January. He makes for a good speculative add in most deeper fantasy formats right now.

McGinn had two assists in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
The third line of McGinn, Jordan Staal and Derek Ryan was highly successful in this one, with Ryan scoring twice and both of his linemates chipping in a pair of helpers. The 22-year-old forward had just three points in 21 games coming into this one, but broke a 10-game scoreless streak here. Still, his nine points through 43 career appearances indicate McGinn can't be relied on for consistent production.

McGinn scored a goal and chipped in a helper in an impressive 3-1 road win over the Kings on Thursday. He also had four shots on goal and 13:18 of ice time, both of which were season highs.
EDGE Analysis
The 22-year-old sophomore now has three points in five games since returning from an upper-body injury that held him out of three contests at the end of November. McGinn had gone pointless in the six games prior to his injury after posting just four points in 21 contests last season, so this recent five-game window has easily been the most productive of his young career.

McGinn (upper body) will return to action Thursday against the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
When asked about McGinn returning to the lineup Thursday, head coach Bill Peters told reporters "We tried to get him a little healthier than he is. He's not going to get to 100 percent from now to the end of the year, but he should be closer. It's as much time as we can afford to give him right now." It sounds like McGinn may be dealing with a nagging injury for the rest of the season, but the Hurricanes are confident his contributions as a strong forechecker and penalty-killing specialist are more important to the team than him being fully healthy. Either way, McGinn's status shouldn't be of much concern to fantasy owners; the 22-year-old winger has failed to tally a single point while averaging just 9:41 of ice time over six games this season.

McGinn (upper body) will not play Tuesday night against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
This will be the third straight absence for McGinn, a depth winger who's only played in six games this season. Phil Di Giuseppe and Joakim Nordstrom figure to round out the bottom six on the left wing with McGinn unfit to play.
