Saad scored two goals, registered three shots on net and finished with a plus-2 rating during Friday's game against the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Saad has cracked the scoresheet in each of his past three games and is up to three goals and two assists for the season. He also received a season-high 4:18 of power-play time during the game after averaging just 1:37 per night through his first six outings. It's an encouraging development if it sticks. Saad posted a career-high 31 goals and 53 points last year, so look for the 24-year-old winger to take a run at beating those marks in 2016-17.

Saad netted his first goal of the year Tuesday, opening the scoring in Tuesday's overtime loss in Los Angeles.
EDGE Analysis
He'd picked up just one assist in the first four games If you can capitalize on Saad's slow start to pick him up via trade, do it -- we're talking about a supremely talented sniper who's at the center of just about everything the Blue Jackets do on offense. His power-play time has been thin early on, but has more to do with the team not drawing many penalties so far (10 man-advantage chances in five games) than any shortcoming of Saad's.

Saad notched an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's season-opening 6-3 loss against the visiting Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
On an evening that saw almost every Jacket finish with a negative rating -- with Brandon Dubinsky's minus-5 the most impressively bad -- Saad was one of only two guys on his team who finished positive. One of the finest young talents in the league, Saad -- who turns 24 later this month -- has consecutive 50-plus-point seasons under his belt, but the upside's there for more if the Jackets can get him enough help.

Saad scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Saad's third-period tally cut Boston's lead in half, but it was all the scoring the Blue Jackets would get in a preseason defeat. The left wing is coming off his first career 30-goal season, and makes for a well-rounded pick given that he has never finished with a negative plus/minus, and is plus-45 in 286 career games between Chicago and Columbus.

Saad found twine, tacking on an assist and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win against the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Saad finished the regular season on an absolute tear, lighting the lamp in three straight and five of the last six. In that span, the 23-year-old tallied a ridiculous seven goals, ending the year at 31. The 2011 second-round pick set a new career high with 53 points, and looks to be a fine addition by Columbus after spending four seasons with the Blackhawks.

Saad scored his 30th goal of the season in Friday's 4-1 win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
A late-season surge isn't improving the Blue Jackets' odds of landing Austin Matthews in the draft lottery, but it's a good sign that Saad didn't quit on a disappointing season, scoring six goals in his last five games to give him his first career 30-goal campaign. If he picks up one more point Saturday against his former Blackhawks teammates, he'll also tie his previous career high of 52 points.

Saad scored a goal and added a helper in Wednesday's 5-1 win over Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The first-year Blue Jacket has been on a heater of late, racking up five goals and four assists over his last eight games. With a pair of games remaining on the 2015-16 slate, Saad has achieved career highs in goals (29), power-play goals (six), game-winning goals (seven) and shots on goal (229), but he's still two shy of his career-high 52 points set last season. Look for him to push for a new milestone against the Sabres on Friday and his former team (Chicago) in the season finale Saturday.

Saad registered his first career hat trick and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Saad is finishing the season strong for the Blue Jackets, reaching the scoresheet in five of the last six. The winger has lit the lamp in two straight games, upping his total to 28 markers on the year and four multi-goal outings. The 23-year-old sits just two points shy of 50 for a second consecutive season.

Saad scored a power-play goal and managed four total shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The goal was Saad's first in 11 games, dating back to Feb. 27 and probably one that shouldn't have happened. Saad put a soft shot on net from outside the blue line and Thomas Greiss muffed the save. The 23-year-old has now picked up points in four of his last five games.

Saad (upper body) has been cleared to return for Sunday's matchup with Tampa Bay, Todd Jones of the Columbus Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saad's injury kept him out of the Blue Jackets last three contests, only one of which the team was able to come out on top. The winger was playing well went he got hurt, as he had recorded five goals and one assist in his previous 10 outings. Averaging over two minutes per game of power-play ice time definitely increases the 23-year-old's fantasy value as does his seven points with the man advantage.
