Richards has bounced back nicely after his rough 2013 campaign with 12 points in 15 games this season. Assuming he can stay healthy, Richards should be penciled in for 70-80 points.

Brad Richards his happy to be back at center, his natural position.
Rangers coach Alain Vigneault slotted Richards in the wing to start the year because of some center depth, but moved him back to the pivot Tuesday against the Islanders. Richards has had a solid start to the season with five goals and nine points. "The Islanders game, it just felt good to be back there," Richards said. "For a game or two there, my feet weren't moving as much on the wing, especially the off wing. I need my feet moving and when you're a center, you're in motion a lot more, you have to get back, it really forces you to skate."

Brad Richards continued his good start to the season with a goal and an assist in a 5-3 loss to St. Louis Saturday.
Richards now has four goals and five points as he seems to have shaken off his poor playoff performance in which former coach John Tortorella sat him in the press box as a healthy scratch in the final two games of the Conference Semi-Finals. He had 34 points in 46 games last season but look for a bounce back to 70-80 this season as it looks as if he has regained his confidence.

Vancouver Canucks coach John Tortorella admitted that his relationship with Brad Richards has been damaged.
When Tortorella was the head coach of the New York Rangers, he moved Richards to the fourth line during the 2013 playoffs and eventually took Richards out of the lineup entirely. The two haven't spoken since Tortorella got fired. "It kills me. It kills me," Tortorella said. Richards is looking to bounce back this season and he has an opportunity to do so on a line with Rick Nash and Derek Stepan.

Brad Richards is likely to open the season as a left winger on the Rangers' top line.
Richards will play alongside Rick Nash and Derek Stepan. "It's a little foreign to me, but at the same time I'm going to be with a pair of talented guys, so that will make the transition easier," Richards said. "There's a lot more movement involved at center, at wing you're isolated a little bit more at times, so I'm sure there will be times when I catch myself drifting when I shouldn't." This might help Richards bounce back from a rough 2013 campaign, but it would also be a big boost if he gains LW eligibility in fantasy leagues. That all being said, this positional change might not last long.
