Brad Richards scored a goal against his former club Tuesday night to extend his point streak to six games (3 G, 4 A). Richards' recent streak brings his stats to just about where they were last year. It's unlikely we'll see this former 91-point scorer exceed 65 points this season.

Brad Richards stayed hot with two assists' in the Rangers' 3-2 victory over Dallas Friday night. The veteran center now has two goals and four assists in his last four games, to go along with 33 points in 46 games this season.

Brad Richards scored a goal and added an assist for the Rangers in a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks on Wednesday. Richards has now recorded four points in his last three games after suffering through a stretch that saw him notch only one point in seven. Carl Hagelin and Mats Zuccarello also found the back of the net in the victory.

Brad Richards had an assist in a 4-3 loss to Columbus on Monday. Richards has recorded at least a point in back-to-back games for the first time since Dec. 10-12. He got off to a strong start this season, but he's slowed down and now has 29 points in 44 games.

It's hard for the Rangers to keep paying him $19 million over the last four years of his contract, especially with a $6.6 million cap hit so they may buy him out at the end of the season.

Brad Richards will move to the left wing on Sunday with the return to the lineup of Derick Brassard. Richards also commented Saturday that the veterans have to do more to help the Rangers break out of their current funk as they are 0-3-1 to start their nine game homestand. "I think everybody knows, but I think veteran guys probably know more how serious it is," Richards said. "You have to lead the younger guys. There's tons of guys that haven't been through the ups and downs of an 82-game season, year in and year out and this is probably the 150th time I've gone through these slumps in midseason, where everybody is panicking. The more you go through them, the more you can be a little more confident through them. It's still no fun for anybody, but veteran guys do have to help out."

He's certainly not having the best season of his career, but after his rough showing in the 2013 playoffs, this is a step in the right direction. That being said, we expect him to improve from an offensive production perspective as the season goes on.
