Bishop made 40 saves in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
The most impressive part of the performance was the toughness he showed in the second when he took a Peter Holland slap shot to the mask that knocked out two front teeth. Bishop remained in the game after he was assessed by trainers. He's now 3-1 on the season, but has allowed at least three goals in all four of those games.

Bishop will start in goal Tuesday night against host Toronto, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop hasn't played since last Thursday, when he was beaten for four goals on only 16 shots against the Avalanche. The massive backstop's struggles date back to the World Cup of Hockey, having posted an .800 save percentage while facing the Czech Republic for his lone appearance with Team USA.

Bishop gave up four goals on just 16 shots during Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop hasn't been sharp to begin the year, but he still sports a 2-1-0 record thanks to his offense. Unfortunately, the Lightning couldn't get it going against Semyon Varlamov on Thursday. The 29-year-old has given up three-plus goals in each start and owns a .842 save percentage. While it's not an ideal opening stretch for the netminder, don't push the panic button just yet. Bishop is one of the best in the business and should turn it around.

Bishop was named the home starter for Thursday's game against the Avalanche, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The last time Bishop faced the Avs -- Jan. 12, 2015 -- he shut them out with a 21-save performance. A Colorado native, Bishop won each of his first two starts this season but carries an ugly 3.40 GAA in the early going.

Bishop stopped 28 of 31 shots through the first 65 minutes and then five of six in the shootout to take home a 4-3 victory against Florida on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Backup Andrei Vasilevskiy's lone start was better than either of Bishop's two so far, but the towering netminder still has a pair of wins to show for his work. He's also coming off a .926 save mark last year, so fantasy owners should remain optimistic about Bishop even though his workload is projected to shrink a bit from the last few seasons due to the emergence of Vasilevskiy. The 29-year-old Denver native is unlikely to reach his fourth consecutive season of 60 or more starts, but he'll still offer plenty of wins and strong ratios.

Bishop will be between the pipes in Tuesday's home matchup with Florida, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop was a little shaky in his only start of the season thus far, surrendering four goals on 32 shots, but did enough to help his team secure a 6-4 Opening Night win over the Red Wings. The 6-foot-7 backstop will look to pick up his second win of the season Tuesday in a matchup with a Panthers team he struggled against last season, posting a 1-1-1 record with an unattractive 3.27 GAA and .888 save percentage over three appearances in 2015-16.

Bishop made 32 saves in the Lightning's 6-4 win over the Red Wings on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
The Bolts were down 3-1 at the mid-point in the second, but his mates woke up in the third with four straight goals to break it open. Bishop is the undisputed starter in Tampa, but Andrei Vasilevski is breathing down his neck. The target for starts (right now) is a 50-30 split between Big Ben and his understudy. Backups would typically play in back-to-back situations, but the Bolts only have one of those in the first month of the season. Bishop will deliver strong numbers, but this 50-30 approach means he'll get at least a game off each week. And that will impact his value in standard head-to-head formats.

Bishop will start between the pipes Thursday night, facing the Red Wings in the home opener, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports
EDGE Analysis
Bishop sports a lifetime 2.18 GAA at Amalie Arena in Tampa, and he's enjoyed plenty of success against the Red Wings over 14 career games, including a 9-4-0 record and .935 save mark. However, the Red Wings may have a collective chip on their shoulder after getting ousted by the Bolts in the conference quarterfinals of the playoffs last season.

Bishop will start in the blue paint Saturday, facing the Predators on home ice.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop isn't expected to go the distance in this final preseason tune-up, which means we'll see backup Andrei Vasilevskiy as well. In his only other exhibition appearance, Bishop stopped 22 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Predators. This is likely the 29-year-old's final season with the Bolts, as he'll be an unrestricted free agent next summer. Plus, Vasilevskiy is close to being ready for a full-time role and is affordable at $3.5 million per season, especially compared to Bishop and his $5.95 million price tag.

Bishop made his preseason debut Saturday, stopping 22 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop was fine, but he couldn't hold the fort on the power play -- three of the four goals came while the Preds had the man advantage. It's still early. No worries.
