Niemi will be in the crease Thursday against the Bruins, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports. Alex Stalock looks to be ready to receive a start if needed, but coach Todd McLellan will stick with Niemi after he yielded just one goal on 29 shots in a win over the Flyers on Tuesday. He hasn't shown a ton of consistency outing-to-outing, but he'll probably still be the favorite to come away with the win against a Bruins squad in the middle of a West Coast road trip.

Niemi will be between the pipes Tuesday against the Flyers, CSN Bay Area's Kevin Kurz reports. Though Alex Stalock (knee) has been activated from IR, coach Todd McLellan still wants to give him a little more practice time before having him ready to go by the weekend. Niemi still looks to have a hold on the starting job once Stalock is completely healthy, but his overall body of work this season (8-7-3, 2.57 GAA, .914 save percentage) isn't exactly world-beating.

Niemi gave up four goals on 34 shots in Saturday's win over Anaheim. While it wasn't Niemi's best outing, the Sharks scored six goals Saturday to ensure the Finnish goaltender could pick up his first win in five games. If the Sharks keep scoring at a high level, more wins will follow for Niemi, who has a respectable .914 save percentage and 2.57 GAA on the season.

Niemi was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and will likely start Saturday against the Ducks, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports. The Finnish goaltender will look to break a four game losing streak on Saturday against Anaheim. The Sharks activated backup netminder Alex Stalock on Saturday who, unless Niemi can begin to play at a higher level, will likely begin to steal some starts in net going forward.

Niemi allowed one goal on 18 shots in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the visiting Flames. The second goal was an empty netter. That's four straight losses for the Finnish netminder, although this one can be chalked up to a lack of goal support from the Sharks offense. Despite traditionally being a workhorse who usually piles up his fair share of wins, Niemi is just 7-7-3 on the season with a .917 save percentage and 2.49 GAA, making him one of the weaker options among the league's number one netminders.

Niemi will be in the crease Wednesday against the Flames, Brodie Brazil of CSNBayArea.com reports. Backup goalie Troy Grosenick is dealing with an undisclosed injury, so coach Todd McLellan doesn't have much of a choice but to roll with Niemi, who likely would have received the start regardless of the circumstance. Niemi has struggled to maintain a record above .500, but he's at least delivered passable ratios thus far.

Niemi picked up his sixth loss in seven games Saturday, giving up three goals on 25 shots against the Coyotes. While the game was lost in a shootout, it wasn't a great outing for Niemi, who now drops to 7-6-3 on the season. Although Niemi is struggling to win games, he hasn't been horrible, allowing only eight goals over his last four starts. He will continue to be a workhorse in the San Jose crease, but monitor the headlines, as it is possible the 31-year-old might not remain with the slumping Sharks for the rest of the season.

As expected, Niemi will start Saturday against Arizona. Niemi has been tagged with five losses in his last six appearances, though the poor record is due in large part to some lackluster offensive support from the guys ahead of him.

Niemi was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and looks to be the starter for Saturday's game against the Coyotes, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports. Niemi's been burned for five losses his last six times out, but he's been a victim of poor support from his offense in his last two defeats. He's been roughly middle-of-the-pack as far as fantasy goalies go through 15 appearances this season, as he carries a 7-6-2 record, 2.56 GAA and .917 save percentage into Saturday's contest. Niemi will have a great chance at turning the tide against the 8-10-2 Coyotes, who sit behind the Sharks in sixth place in the Pacific Division.

Niemi stopped 26 of 28 on Thursday against the Panthers, but took the loss after a shootout. That's five losses in six starts now for Niemi, although he's sharpened up his game over the last three contests, posting save marks of at least .929 in all three. Temporary backup Troy Grosenick isn't a big threat for playing time, so Niemi should keep getting rolled out most nights while normal backup Alex Stalock lingers on injured reserve.
