Lander (shoulder) will return to the Oilers' lineup Monday against the Red Wings.
Lander traveled with the team on the road trip, and skated with the team at practice Saturday. The forward was placed on IR on Feb. 20, but finally appears to be ready to return. In 22 games with the Oilers, the 23-year-old has tallied 11 points (four goals, seven assists), adding four penalty minutes and a minus-4 rating.

Lander (shoulder) skated on the Oilers' second line at Saturday's practice, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports.
Lander was filling in for center Derek Roy, who took a maintenance day Saturday. While Lander's participation in practice bodes well for a forthcoming return, interim coach Todd Nelson has ruled the 23-year-old out for Sunday's game in Carolina. Lander could be an option for the second game of the Oilers' back-to-back set Monday in Detroit.

Lander (shoulder) will accompany the team on their upcoming road trip, according to the Oilers web site.
Lander is participating in all team drills during practice but has yet to take any hits. That should be the last hurdle he needs to overcome before returning to the lineup.

Lander (shoulder) was on the ice Monday sporting a yellow non-contact jersey, Derek Van Diest of the Edmonton Sun reports.
Lander remains out with a shoulder injury he suffered last Wednesday against the Bruins, but his presence on the ice Monday indicates he is progressing towards a return. He will probably need to get in a full-contact practice or two before returning to the ice, but Tuesday's game can likely be ruled out. His next chance to return will come Friday against the Blackhawks.

Lander (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Friday. The transaction guarantees that Lander will miss at least the Oilers' next three games, as he's not eligible to come off IR until Feb. 26. The team has yet to provide a projected timetable for Lander's return, so there's a possibility his absence could drag into March or even beyond. With Lander now off the 23-man roster, the Oilers were able to open up a spot for AHL Oklahoma City blueliner Jordan Oesterle.

Lander tallied the game-winning goal 1:47 into overtime Thursday against the Canadiens.Lander has delivered goals in back-to-back games and is quietly clipping along at a half-point-per-game pace. A de facto replacement for the since reassigned Leon Draisaitl, Lander has provided a significant upgrade to the Oilers' third line. He should be on strong footing for a permanent stay with the parent club going forward.

Lander scored the game-winning goal -- his first tally of the year -- and had the primary assists on Edmonton's other two goals in Thursday's 3-2 win over Buffalo.
He drove the offense in this one, which has to be pretty unexpected from a guy who entered play with 12 points in 105 career games. But he does now have seven points in 12 games this season, which is a fairly respectable stat that should make deep-league fantasy owners take a look at the 23-year-old Swede.

Lander picked up a power-play assist and logged 13:10 of ice time in Friday's win over the Blackhawks.
Lander has been a more than adequate lineup replacement as the third-line center in place of the struggling Leon Draisaitl, who was demoted to juniors last weekend. He's now picked up assists in three consecutive games while working alongside Matt Fraser and Teddy Purcell.

Lander was recalled from AHL Oklahoma City on Thursday, Mark Spector of Sportsnet.ca reports.
The former second-round pick has enjoyed a good deal of success at Oklahoma City this season, notching nine goals and 22 assists in 29 games thus far. He's received the call to help the Oilers' 27th-ranked scoring offense, though it's uncertain how much Lander will play immediately upon his return to Edmonton.
