Shaw (neck) will rejoin the lineup Saturday against the Maple Leafs, John Lu of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw worked on both the second line and power-play unit, so it appears he'll be thrown directly into a prominent role. Shaw has pieced together one of the better seasons of his career to date, collecting 11 goals and 13 assists through 36 games. The rates would put him on pace for career highs in both categories, but the missed time could cost him the opportunity.

Shaw (neck) hasn't been ruled out versus Toronto on Saturday, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw is awaiting clearance from the medical staff, but continued to skate with the team and could be close to making a return to the lineup. With Paul Byron (forearm) sidelined, Shaw could slot into a top-six role once given the green light. In order to suit up, the Ontario native will need to be activated off injured reserve, which would require the team to make a corresponding roster move, likely shipping Kenny Agostino down to the minors.

Shaw will not suit up in Tuesday's game against Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw was able to take part in Monday's practice, but coach Claude Julien and the team confirmed Tuesday that Shaw won't go against the Ducks. With fellow forward Paul Byron (forearm) dealing with injury as well, more opportunities could open up for Matthew Peca and Charles Hudon up front Tuesday.

Shaw (neck) took part in Monday's optional practice but may not be ready to play Tuesday against the Ducks, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw said he's ready to go after participating a second practice with contact, but it's up to others to decide if he can play Tuesday. "He hasn't got the green light yet," coach Claude Julien said. "Can he get it? I don't know. I think that's up to the medical staff and, obviously, I'll be questioning them and seeing where he is." Julien also alluded to Shaw's concussion history as a factor in the team's decision. With Paul Byron (forearm) expected to sit out Tuesday's game, there is an obvious opening in the lineup.

Shaw (neck) might be cleared in time for Thursday's matchup with Winnipeg, John Lu of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
The news effectively rules Shaw out against the Ducks on Tuesday, but at least gives fantasy owners a clearer deadline of when he might be ready to return. Once given the green light to suit up, Shaw will likely slot into a top-six role and could push for the 30-point mark.

Shaw (neck) was cleared for contact before Friday's practice, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw has missed the last 11 games and will not suit up in either game this weekend. He's hoping to be ready by Tuesday night when the Ducks visit the Bell Centre. Shaw practiced Friday on the fourth line with Kenny Agostino and Michael Chaput, but coach Claude Julien would divulge his plan for Shaw when the forward his ready to return.

Shaw (neck), who has been ruled out for Saturday's game against New Jersey, will not be ready to play Sunday against Edmonton, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw returned to practice Thursday, although he donned a non-contact jersey. Nonetheless, his presence sparked speculation about his return this weekend, but coach Claude Julien was quick to squelch such talk. "We're going into I guess the protocol of what needs to be done here," Julien said about Shaw. "Today was non-contact day, he's feeling good. If he feels good tomorrow, I'll wait to hear from the medical staff and at some point they're going to give me the OK for him to do contact." Shaw hasn't played in close to a month, so conditioning, along with a history of concussions, becomes a mitigating factor.

Shaw (neck) will not play Saturday versus the Devils, John Lu of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Shaw will miss the next game, he's making notable progress based on Lu adding that the pivot logged his first full practice Thursday. One of the grittiest players the league has to offer, Shaw has otherwise enjoyed a spectacular campaign, marked by a points-per-60-minutes value of 2.6 -- that would be a career high if he can sustain the lofty production.

Shaw practiced with the team on Thursday but has yet to be cleared for contact, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rugged forward still has a couple of days before Montreal's next game, so Shaw remains a potential option for Saturday's home game versus the Devils. The 27-year-old has not played since Dec. 31 and is currently on injured reserve. In 36 games this season, Shaw has scored 11 goals and put up 24 points while posting a plus-6 rating.

Shaw (neck) is expected to resume skating this week, Pat Hickey of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
That's encouraging news for Shaw, who has been sidelined since New Year's Eve, missing 10 straight games. With the All-Star game coming up and the Habs' bye week, Shaw could be back in the lineup by Feb. 2 when the Canadiens host the Devils.
