Andrew Ference has been suspended for the first time in his NHL career. He'll sit out three games for his check on New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh. That will make him available to play on Thursday, Feb. 2 when the Boston Bruins host the Carolina Hurricanes.

Andrew Ference scored a goal and registered an assist in a 3-2 overtime defeat Saturday. Adam McQuaid netted his second goal of the season with 49 seconds remaining in the second period. David Krejci, Milan Lucic, and Rich Peverley each registered an assist in the losing effort.

Andrew Ference (flu) was able to participate in Thursday's practice. Ference didn't practice on Wednesday due to the illness. Look for him to play in Friday's game.

Andrew Ference did not practice on Wednesday because of the flu. He likely be over it by Friday's match-up versus the Florida Panthers, but we'll classify him as day-to-day for now. Ference has contributed five helpers in his last five games to give him 13 points and a plus-10 rating on the year.

Andrew Ference logged a game-high 27:33 of ice time in Boston's 5-2 victory over Ottawa on Wednesday night. He collected two assists and a plus-3 rating, while captain Zdeno Chara was sidelined for a second straight contest with a knee injury. Ference also posted three shots and two hits. He could be a player to watch in deeper leagues if you are looking for a short-term replacement, but we wouldn't expect production like that to come very often from Boston's depth blueliner.

Andrew Ference potted the only goal of the game Monday night in Montreal. Ference scored his second goal of the season and the Bruins extend their winning streak to nine games. Ference obviously has not fantasy value the rest of the way.

Andrew Ference returned from a lower body injury on Thursday. Ference missed the Bruins' previous two games due to the ailment. He had two penalty minutes and was on the ice for 19:24 minutes.

Andrew Ference returned to action on Thursday November 17.

Andrew Ference will get back into Boston's lineup from a lower-body injury on Thursday if Johnny Boychuk is unable to suit up. Boychuk is questionable with the flu and the Bruins have not recalled a defenseman from AHL Providence, so Ference will probably dress after missing the last two contests.

Andrew Ference (lower body) got back to team practice on Wednesday. He skated by himself prior to Tuesday's session as well. Ference has been sidelined since getting hurt last Thursday against Edmonton.
