Copp and the Jets are separated on both term and salary, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports, which could force the two sides to go through with their July 21 arbitration hearing.
EDGE Analysis
Copp is looking for just one year at nearly twice the salary ($1.5 versus $2.9 million). A deal can still be struck even after the hearing, though that seems unlikely considering the two camps can't even agree on the length of Copp's new contract. The 25-year-old will likely continue to fill a bottom-six role for Winnipeg during the 2019-20 campaign, but a spot on the No. 2 power-play unit figures to bolster his fantasy value.

Copp filed for arbitration ahead of Friday's deadline.
EDGE Analysis
Copp followed up a career-best 28-point campaign with 25 points in 2018-19 and should see a raise on last season's salary of $1.1 million. The 24-year-old, barring unforeseen circumstances, will return to Winnipeg next year and should slot into a bottom-six role, similar to what Copp did a season ago.

Copp was handed a qualifying offer by Winnipeg on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Copp reached the 25-point mark for a second consecutive season this year in a bottom-sx role. While the center doesn't have a spot on the power play, his ability to provide depth scoring anchoring the third line makes him a valuable piece of the Jets' lineup, which is why the club opted to give him a qualifying offer.

Copp had two assists in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Blues in Game 3 of their first-round series.
EDGE Analysis
Copp has registered three assists in the series, as well as four shots and four hits. Not bad for a bottom-six forward, but also probably not enough to warrant fantasy attention at this stage of the postseason.

Copp dished a helper and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
The assist gives Copp 25 points (11 goals, 14 helpers) in 66 appearances this season. The pivot is pretty clearly a fourth-liner, but his plus-19 rating and 0.38 points-per-game pace are the highest of his career. He's been aided by a 13.9 shooting percentage, but it's not outrageously high compared to his career rate of 11.7 percent.

Copp found the back of the net against the Predators on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Copp brought his five-game goal drought to a close with his marker. The center has already set a career high in goals (11) and has seven more games to try and match his personal best 28 points from last season. While not a fantasy stud, the Ann Arbor native can provide solid mid-range value as a depth scoring option.

Copp scored twice in Friday's 8-1 blowout win over the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
Copp was one of seven different goalscorers for the Jets. The last time the center had a two-goal game was in the regular season finale last year against the Blackhawks. Copp matched his career high in goals with nine and has 20 points in 54 games this season. He's provided solid depth scoring for the Jets while skating 12:07 a game, but doesn't move the needle in most fantasy formats.

Copp recorded an assist against Columbus on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Copp needs just two more points to crack the 20-point mark for the second straight season. The center's ceiling is likely in the 25-30 range, especially considering he is limited to a bottom-six role given the organization's forward depth.

Copp scored the go-ahead goal in the third period of Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers, in response to Mark Scheifele's pair of snipes to open the scoring, put up three unanswered goals in Tuesday's game, capped off by Mika Zibanejad's power-play marker in the third that gave New York its first lead of the game. Soon after Zibanejad's second of the night, Joe Morrow would tie things up, and Copp would then propel the Jets in front for good with his sixth goal of 2018-19. The fourth-line plugger has goals in back-to-back contests and is up to 16 points in 44 games this season.

Copp's shorthanded goal opened the scoring in a 3-1 win over the Sabres on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The goal was Copp's fifth of the season, coming on a breakaway with an assist from Bryan Little. Copp has two goals and three assists in his last six games, an impressive burst for the fourth-liner. Owners in deeper formats may be interested if he can keep getting involved in the offense.
