Copp suffered the injury after dishing a hit in the second period, and went straight down the tunnel to the locker room. Expect the team to comment on Copp's status ahead of Thursday's game against Chicago. For the remainder of the game, however, Nick Shore was bumped up to the third line with Adam Lowry and Gabriel Bourque.

Copp had a goal and an assist with three shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-1 win over Detroit.

Copp scored his fifth goal of the year late in the second period to give the Jets a 3-1 lead. He also assisted on Adam Lowry's short-handed goal in the first period. The 25-year-old chips in offensively on occasion, providing five goals and nine assists through 31 games, but is a bottom-six forward without much fantasy upside.

Copp scored the game-winning goal and picked up an assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over Columbus. He also had three shots and was plus-3.

Copp created an offensive-zone turnover and buried a wrist shot from the left faceoff dot to break a 3-3 tie with 1:54 remaining. It was his fourth goal of the season and his first game-winner. Copp has enjoyed a pretty solid month of November, collecting three goals and five assists in his last nine games, but he's not going to provide fantasy owners much offense over the long haul.

Copp notched an assist on Adam Lowry's game-winning goal over the Panthers on Thursday.

EDGE Analysis

Copp is rolling right now with four points in his previous five games, along with 17 shots over that stretch. The Michigan native is slotted into a third-line role, but continues to feature on the power play. Copp logged a season-high 20:03 of ice time in Thursday's matchup and should continue to play heavy minutes throughout the year.

Copp supplied an assist and three shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks.

EDGE Analysis

Copp worked a generous give-and-go with Adam Lowry as they approached an empty net, with Lowry ultimately potting the freebie. The helper gives Copp points in consecutive games, and five overall through 17 appearances. The bottom-six forward has added 25 shots on goal and 17 hits this year.

Copp tallied his second goal of the season and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Devils.

The goal ended a nine-game scoreless drought for Copp, who deflected a point shot midway through the second period to tie the game 1-1. Copp doesn't generate a ton of offense in his bottom-six role, averaging nine goals over his first four full NHL seasons.

Copp scored a goal on two shots and provided three hits in Saturday's 3-2 overtime victory versus the Blackhawks.

Copp tapped home a backdoor goal to tie the game at 2-2 with 8:16 left in the third period and send the game into overtime. It was the first goal of the season for the 25-year-old, who tallied 11 goals and 25 points in 69 games last season with the Jets. He isn't like to see much more than his typical bottom-six role.

Copp (groin) will be in the lineup against the Wild on Wednesday.

Copp picked up a groin issue early in camp, but appears to be back to 100 percent. The Michigan native figures to slot into the bottom-six to start the 2019-20 campaign, though the prolonged contract disputes of Patrik Laine and Kyle Connor could open the door for Copp to take on a bigger role in the preseason.

Copp didn't participate in Saturday's practice due to a minor groin injury, Brian Munz of TSN 1290 Winnipeg reports.
