Anders Lindback played well down the stretch for the Lightning after making some adjustments to his game.
"Just way more patient," Lindback said. "I feel like I'm more consistent in everything I do out there. You just keep pushing. It's time to take it to another level." He has worked on not making the first move when shooters challenge him, which has given him a quieter and more steady style. He'll start Game 1 of Tampa Bay's first-round series against Montreal because Ben Bishop isn't ready to return yet from an elbow injury. "When you get an opportunity, you have to take advantage of it," Lindback said.

With Ben Bishop doubtful to return from what Tampa Bay officials are calling an upper body injury, Anders Lindback likely will get the call in net Wednesday night for the first game of the Lightning's opening playoff series against the Montreal Canadiens.
Lindback earned the first star of the week in the NHL for the period ending April 13. He was thrust into action after Bishop's injury. He posted a 3-0-0 record with a 0.67 GAA and .975 save percentage. Whatever doubts might have lingered when the Bolts were forced to turn to Lindback were washed away in the goalie's three appearances down the stretch. "He's playing with a lot of confidence,'' defenseman Matt Carle said. "So, it's no surprise to see how well he's doing. And it's just great for our team and we have a lot of confidence playing in front of him.'' That's a far cry from where Lindback was for most of the season. As Bishop posted franchise records with 37 wins, a 2.24 goals-against average and .924 save percentage, Lindback was relegated to backup duties, rarely seeing playing time.

If a small sample size of games is any indication, Anders Lindback might just be heating up at exactly the right time for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
With Ben Bishop's injury situation murky, the Lightning might need Lindback to start for some time. With Sunday's shutout, he generated two goose eggs in his last three appearances (all wins). That's a significant departure from his mostly lousy 2013-14 season. He's suddenly a wild card in playoff pools, especially if Bishop's injury news is bad.

Anders Lindback will be in net for Tampa Bay on Thursday versus Philadelphia.
The Lightning won't have Ben Bishop available for the rest of the regular season and possibly for the start of the playoffs, so Lindback will carry the team's starter role in his absence.

Anders Lindback stopped all 25 shots he faced in relief of the injured Ben Bishop during Tuesday night's 3-0 win over Toronto.
Lindback was not credited with the shutout since he didn't start the game, but he deserved it. The Bolts will need more of Tuesday's strong play, as Bishop may miss some time with a shoulder injury. Lindback is just 6-12-2 this season with a .884 save percentage and 3.11 goals against average.
