Larsson (upper body) was put on injured reserve Friday, but he is not expected to be out for more than a week.
EDGE Analysis
Fortunately for Larsson, it doesn't look like his injury is anything the team is too concerned about. Eric Gryba replaced Larsson in the Oilers' lineup for Thursday's meeting with the Maple Leafs, so expect a similar change for as long as Larsson is out for.

Larsson (upper body) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
Eric Gryba took Larsson's place in the lineup for Thursday's clash with Toronto. The severity of Larsson's ailment remains unclear, but the Oilers should release another update on his status prior to Saturday night's game against the Flames.

Larsson scored his third goal of the season in 23:06 of ice time in Sunday's win over the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Larsson had a strong afternoon, dishing out five hits and blocking four shots. He logs monstrous minutes on the top defensive pairing, but hasn't been a great source of offense this season. His goal Sunday was his first appearance on the the scoresheet in 12 contests and he's mostly only valuable in some deeper leagues. He's never reached the 25-point mark in his career, so know what you're getting with the defensive workhorse.

Larsson continued his drought in Saturday's loss to Dallas, despite seeing a game-leading 27:47 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Considering it was a 6-3 loss, Larsson's plus-1 rating is impressive. Nonetheless, Larsson is getting a ton of playing time and not doing enough with it to merit fantasy consideration outside of deep formats. His 22:15 average ice time ranks second on the team, but he only has two goals and an assist on the season while averaging just under two shots per game.

Larsson picked up a goal in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
The Swedish blueliner is well on his way to a career high in goals with two markers in his first 10 games but has been victimized in terms of defense with a minus-3 rating in that span -- way down from last season's plus-21. While he and the Oilers should figure out the defensive zone issues before too long, the first-round pick of the New Jersey Devils in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft has never been a consistent enough point producer to give him much value beyond deeper formats.

Larsson tallied the Oilers' lone goal in Saturday's 6-1 loss to Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
It's nice to get one on the board early in the season, but the 24-year-old defender has a career-high of four goals in a single season. It'd be wise not to overestimate what kind of offensive production he can bring to the table.

Larsson scored two goals and collected an assist over 18:47 of ice time during Wednesday's Game 1 win over Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Larsson turned in a solid campaign in his first season with the Oilers, but it rarely translated into fantasy success. So, while his Game 1 performance was a virtual gem and huge influence on the final outcome, keeping expectations in check for Larsson through the remainder of the postseason is likely best.

Larsson had an assist, a plus-1, four hits and two blocked shots in Game 6 against the Sharks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Larsson played a team-leading 26:10 in the game, giving him more than 26 minutes in two straight contests. He had just one point and an average of a shot per game in the first round, but he's logging big minutes. Unfortunately for his fantasy value, he's not seeing power play time despite those big minutes.

Larsson finished Saturday's win over Detroit with two assists, a plus-2 rating and a team-leading three blocked shots.
EDGE Analysis
This is about the best night you can expect from the 24-year-old. Points have not come fast and furious in his first season with the Oilers. Through 62 games, he has three goals and 17 points. Though, that point pace is right around what you should expect from Larsson. Three goals ties his career-high and he's a 3.5 percent shooter over the course of his career.

Larsson (lower body) is in the lineup for Sunday's away game against the Predators, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Larsson returns to the lineup after missing the previous two games with the minor ailment. He'll likely round out the third defensive pairing with Darnell Nurse, who is returning Sunday after missing 35 games. Eric Gryba and Brandon Davidson will be the resulting healthy scratches.
