Larsson suffered an apparent foot injury in Thursday's practice, but he's hoping to be OK for Saturday's home clash with the Lightning, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Specifically, Larsson "stopped a shot on his foot" in the latest session. The rugged defenseman hasn't missed a game all season and there's been nothing to suggest that his availability for the next contest is in serious doubt, but nonetheless, this is a situation worth monitoring.

Larsson recorded an assist and fired one shot on goal in Monday's 4-3 win over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Larsson isn't necessarily known for his offensive contributions, but he's been solid in the month of November, picking up five helpers in nine contests. The 26-year-old blueliner's next opportunity to mark the score sheet will come Friday against Anaheim.

Larsson picked up an assist in Monday's 4-2 road loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Larsson has yet to score this season, but he's accumulated 38 hits and 24 blocked shots to complement five helpers over 14 games. The Oilers always heavily feature the top-pairing defenseman on the penalty kill -- he's averaging 2:04 in that spot -- but Larsson's kept away from power-play action and that's a shame since he'd otherwise have a chance to play with all-world pivot Connor McDavid in that key special teams situation.

Larsson (back) is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Devils, which will take place in Sweden as part of the NHL's Global Series, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Larsson will be the right-defenseman complement to Oscar Klefbom as both teams open their respective 2018-19 campaigns. For the for former, the game against his former team will be held in his home country, albeit 12 and half hours away in terms of driving distance. Larsson added four goals, nine assists and a plus-13 rating over 63 games with the Oilers in 2017-18. He also generated 239 hits and 140 blocked shots to qualify as a strong two-way player who averaged close to 22 minutes per contest.

Larsson (back) will not dress for Wednesday's preseason clash with Kolner Haie (DEL).
EDGE Analysis
Larsson is focusing on being ready for Saturday's' Opening Night clash with the Devils in Sweden, rather than taking part in the preseason exhibition versus the DEL club. If Larsson is sidelined for the opener, it could force the club to sign Jason Garrison to a regular contract.

Larsson's back tightened up during Saturday's game with the Flames and he was pulled for precautionary reasons, Tom Gazzola of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's expected that Larsson will be fine to travel with the Oilers to Europe, but you never know with backs. Right now, there is little reason for concern, and if he lands across the pond without it flaring up on him he should be good to go.

Larsson played in 63 games during 2017-18, scoring four goals and pitching in nine assists while averaging 21:56 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
During his second season in Edmonton, Larsson saw his ice time grow from 20:09 to 21:56, but it didn't correspond with much of an increase in his points-per-game pace -- in fact it actually dropped from .24 to .21 -- and he still doesn't have a presence on the power-play. The Swede still boasts a solid 50.6 Corsi and went plus-10 on the season showcasing his on-ice value, but we're still waiting to see the offensive flashes that saw him put up 24 points in 64 games as a 22-year-old in 2014-15. Larsson will return to Edmonton for the 2018-19 season, and figures to hold down a spot on the first pairing once again.

Larsson has been nominated by Edmonton for the Masterton Trophy, the Edmonton Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The trophy is awarded annually to the player who displays sportsmanship, perseverance as well as dedication to the game -- Larsson has shown all of those qualities amidst the recent passing of his father. "You don't want something like this to happen but when it does, hopefully it makes you a better, stronger person moving forward," Larsson said. "It's sad something like this has to happen to realize it." The 25-year-old defenseman only has 12 points in 58 games in 2017-18, but he remains an integral piece in the Oilers' defensive unit (21:58 average ice time). Given the ample opportunities sharing first-team minutes with Connor McDavid, Larsson is worth the gamble in daily formats and in deep leagues for now.

Larsson scored a goal in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The goal was Larsson's third of the season and his first since Nov. 26. He also doled out punishment in the contest, finishing with five hits and two blocks. The Swedish blueliner is a leader among the young defensive corps in Oil Country yet can only be relied upon in deep leagues that cater to his bruising style for now.
