David Quessenberry
LAR (8)
The Rams re-signed Quessenberry to a one-year contract Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old lineman appeared in 13 regular-season games for Los Angeles during the 2025 campaign, seeing 18 snaps on offense and another 73 via special teams. Quessenberry will again compete for a backup tackle job.
Joel Bitonio CLE (9) Wed 2/18/26 5:25 PM
Joel Bitonio
CLE (9)
Bitonio and the Browns have pushed the void date on his contract to the start of the new league year on March 11, giving him additional time to decide whether to retire or return for the 2026 season, Dan Labbe of cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bitonio's contract had been slated to void Feb. 16, but he'll now have nearly an extra month to weigh his options. Were Bitonio's contract to void, Cleveland would take on over $23 million in dead cap, so it stands to reason that the veteran guard will either ink an extension or be released by March 11, depending on his decision. The 34-year-old offensive lineman continued to perform at a high level across his 17 regular-season appearances in 2025.
Kendric Pryor WR CIN (10) Wed 2/18/26 5:18 PM
Kendric Pryor
WR CIN (10)
Cincinnati re-signed Pryor on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pryor spent the 2025 campaign on the Bengals' practice squad, but he wasn't elevated for a single regular-season appearance with the team. Back in 2024, Pryor suited up for two games with Cincinnati, in which span he secured his only target for nine yards. The depth wideout will get a chance to continue his development with the team this offseason.
QPatrick Mahomes QB KC (10) Wed 2/18/26 10:03 AM
QPatrick Mahomes
QB KC (10)
Mahomes (knee) recently agreed to restructure his contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Chiefs add $43.56 million in cap space with the restructure, but they'll still need to make other moves to become cap-compliant before the start of the new league year March 11. Mahomes is in the early stages of his rehab process after undergoing surgery in mid-December to repair ACL and LCL tears. He said in mid-January that he was aiming to be ready for Week 1 of 2026, though he acknowledged that he "can't predict what happens throughout the process," per The Associated Press.
OUTRobert Woods WR FA Tue 2/17/26 5:43 PM
OUTRobert Woods
WR FA
Woods announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Woods was out of the league in 2025 after he requested his release from the Steelers' practice squad prior to Week 1. The veteran was unable to find the right opportunity afterward and is now calling it a career after catching 683 passes for 8,233 yards and 38 touchdowns across 171 regular-season contests. Woods caught another 42 passes for 449 yards and one score across 10 postseason games. Woods was a second-round pick by the Bills in 2013 and spent the first four seasons of his career in Buffalo before spending the next five seasons with the Rams, where he won a Super Bowl in 2021. Woods then spent 2022 with the Titans before a two-year stint with the Texans. On Tuesday, he signed a one-day contract to retire with the Rams.
Emory Jones QB FA Tue 2/17/26 4:57 PM
Emory Jones
QB FA
The Falcons waived Jones on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones spent the 2025 campaign on injured reserve after sustaining a concussion during the preseason last summer. The 25-year-old quarterback spent the previous two seasons in the Atlanta organization but has yet to appear in a regular-season contest.
Mike Evans WR SF (14) Tue 2/17/26 4:42 PM
Mike Evans
WR SF (14)
Evans will continue his playing career in 2026, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evans will turn 33 years old in August but will play a 13th NFL season. He was limited to a career-low eight regular-season contests in 2025 as he dealt with hamstring and collarbone injuries in addition to a concussion. When on the field, Evans was still productive, securing 30 of 62 targets for 368 yards and three touchdowns. The six-time Pro Bowler should have plenty of interest around the league if he decides to test free agency, but a return to Tampa Bay -- the only team he's ever played for in the NFL -- is the most likely outcome.
Ryan Hayes TEN (10) Tue 2/17/26 3:55 PM
Ryan Hayes
TEN (10)
Hayes (undisclosed) signed with the Titans on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Hayes appeared in one regular-season game for the Dolphins in 2024, logging four snaps on special teams. He then spent time on the practice squads of Miami and Atlanta last season before landing on the Falcons' practice-squad injured list in October. Hayes will compete for a reserve role in Tennessee this offseason.
Marques Sigle S SF (14) Tue 2/17/26 1:07 PM
Marques Sigle
S SF (14)
Sigle finished the 2025 regular season with 52 tackles (28 solo) and two passes defended across 15 active games with the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
The fifth-round rookie began his pro career making five starts in place of injured S Malik Mustapha. Sigle accrued 39 of his 52 combined tackles during that brief span, showing flashes of IDP utility should he ever be asked to start down the line. The 23-year-old figures to serve as a primary backup safety behind Mustapha and Ji'Ayir Brown in 2026, especially with fellow backup S Jason Pinnock set to become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason.
Renardo Green CB SF (14) Tue 2/17/26 12:56 PM
Renardo Green
CB SF (14)
Green finished the regular season with 60 tackles (36 solo) made and 10 passes defended across 14 starts with the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Green began his sophomore campaign as a starting corner and finished with similar counting stats to his rookie season, sans the two turnovers he forced last year. The 2024 second-round pick missed the last couple games of the regular season with an ankle injury, but he was able to recover in time to make a pair of playoff appearances. Green should maintain an inside track to another starting role next season, assuming the 49ers do not make significant additions to a secondary that ranked in the bottom third of the league in 2025.
