With Jonathan Taylor (thumb) ruled out by coach Shane Steichen, per JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site, Moss once again is slated to lead the team's backfield Saturday against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Moss thus is in line to start at running back for the third consecutive week in place of Taylor, a context that gives the 2020 third-rounder continued fantasy utility Week 15. In the Colts' 34-14 loss to the Bengals this past Sunday, Moss carried 13 times for 28 yards and caught four of his eight targets for 28 yards, but a bounce-back effort could be in store against the 7-6 Steelers, who have lost back-to-back contests.

Moss rushed 13 times for 28 yards and secured four of eight targets for 28 yards in the Colts' 34-14 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Moss once again handled a bulk of the Colts' work in the ground game, although the flow of the contest eventually turned firmly toward the pass as far as Indianapolis was concerned. Moss found running room extremely hard to come by despite the favorable on-paper matchup, and the fact 12 of his yards came on one carry underscores how difficult an afternoon it was. Moss did partly make up for the lackluster rushing production with a busy day through the air, but he'll aim to atone in a Week 15 Saturday afternoon home matchup against the inconsistent Steelers run defense.

Moss rushed the ball 19 times for 51 yards in Sunday's 31-28 overtime win over the Titans. He added two receptions on three targets for six yards.
EDGE Analysis
Moss took over the lead-back role in the absence of Jonathan Taylor (thumb) and dominated opportunity, as no other running back saw a carry in the game. However, he disappointed with those chances, averaging only 2.7 yards per play and posting a game-long run of just five yards. Positively, Moss will retain a significant workload for the Colts' friendlier Week 14 matchup against the Bengals.

Moss is expected to serve as the Colts' lead back for at least Sunday's game against the Titans after team owner Jim Irsay said Jonathan Taylor would undergo thumb surgery Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor opened the season on the PUP list as he completed his recovery from January ankle surgery, and Moss served as Indianapolis' lead back from Weeks 2 through 4, compiling 280 yards and a touchdown on 66 carries to go with six receptions on eight targets for 42 yards and another score. The duo then worked in a near-even timeshare over the ensuing three games following Taylor's return in Week 5, but Moss had since faded into a supporting role. With Taylor now set to miss 2-3 weeks, Moss should at least temporarily have a clear path to reclaiming a three-down role, as the Colts haven't shown much of an inclination to give work to third-stringer Trey Sermon this season. Given the opportunity in front of him, Moss is worthy of rostering in nearly every league.

Moss rushed eight times for 55 yards and brought in two of three targets for 15 yards in the Colts' 27-20 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Despite Jonathan Taylor logging 15 rush attempts, Moss retained a solid complementary role and encouragingly had a modest share of passing game work as well. The fourth-year pro had recorded just eight total carries and zero targets in the last two games before the Colts' Week 11 bye, so his resurgence Sunday was certainly a welcome sight for those still holding onto Moss in deep formats. It remains to be seen if he'll be afforded a similar workload in a Week 13 road matchup against the Titans.

Moss rushed the ball once for two yards in Sunday's 10-6 win over the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Moss had slowly seen his role in the offense decline as Jonathan Taylor ramped back up after returning from an ankle injury. Sunday appeared to complete that process, as he saw only one touch as opposed to Taylor's 23. After an excellent start to the campaign, it appears that Moss has slipped into a true backup role.

Moss carried the ball seven times for 26 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The fourth-year running back produced his lowest yardage total and touch volume of the season, as the Colts didn't need to get much production from their offense on a day when the defense scored two touchdowns on interception returns. Moss's role has dwindled since Jonathan Taylor rejoined the team, but he'd still seen at least 12 touches in every game the duo was together in the Indy backfield prior to Sunday. Moss could resume his usual workload in Week 10 in what figures to be a more competitive matchup against the Patriots.

Moss rushed 11 times for 66 yards and a touchdown and brought in his only target for eight yards in the Colts' 38-27 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Moss logged only one fewer carry than Jonathan Taylor, and both backs surprisingly found plenty of running room against the Saints' typically stout defense. Moss also scored his fourth touchdown in the last three games on a one-yard rush in the second quarter, making it a highly efficient afternoon. Moss figures to continue operating in a nearly even timeshare with Taylor on the road in a favorable matchup against the Panthers in Week 9.

Moss (heel/elbow) is active for Sunday's game against the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Listed as questionable heading into Sunday and considered a game-time decision leading up to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, Moss has received the green light to suit up after coming out of a pregame warmup no worse for wear. Though he has handled snap shares ranging between 49 and 80 percent in each of the Colts' three games since Jonathan Taylor made his season debut Week 5, Moss could take more of a back seat to Indianapolis' top back while the former plays Sunday at less than 100 percent health. With that in mind, Moss may could serve as Option 1B out of the backfield, if not a clear No. 2 option behind Taylor, who may be ready to handle his heaviest workload of the season after carrying 18 times for 75 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for 45 yards in last week's 39-38 loss to Cleveland.

Moss (elbow/heel) will see how his foot feels during warmups before determining whether he will play Sunday against the Saints, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss failed to practice Wednesday and Friday while turning in a limited session Thursday. Of the two injuries, his heel seems to be the bigger issue, as Schefter specifically noted that Moss wants to see how his foot feels when pushing off. His status is particularly impactful for Jonathan Taylor, who could see his first full workload of the campaign if Moss is inactive.
