Moss is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appears that Moss was simply a healthy scratch in Week 1, but all signs point to the second-year back returning to the lineup Sunday. In the opener, Devin Singletary led the team with 72 yards on 11 carries. Singletary figures to lead the backfield again, but Moss could operate as the 1B.

Moss has not been on the injury report this week after he was a surprise inactive Week 1 against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
We can safely assume at this point the second-year back was a surprise scratch. With Matt Breida only notching four yards on four carries in the loss, there's a decent chance Moss gets to suit up Sunday in Miami. It's worth noting the Bills have been constantly mixing things up at running back for the past two seasons, often going with the hot hand for stretches and benching previously productive players for others. We'll see if the needle lands on Moss for Week 2, though Devin Singletary had an excellent summer and rushed for 72 yards with a 6.5 YPC in the opener.

Moss will be inactive for Sunday's opener against the Steelers,
EDGE Analysis
This will be one of the bigger surprises for Week 1. Moss did have offseason ankle surgery, but he was well up to speed early in training camp and played in the preseason. Either he had some kind of injury crop up very late in the week, he broke some kind of team rule, or coach Sean McDermott simply feels he's not fully all the way back and Matt Breida would be a more reliable short-term backup for starter Devin Singletary. This will be an interesting story to follow for those trying to guess which Bills RB will get the most opportunities stemming from the high-flying Buffalo passing game. The current listing for Moss is "healthy scratch," though we're sure there's more to follow on his situation.

Moss took four carries for 10 yards and caught one pass for a three-yard touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Devin Singletary got the start and most of the snaps on a lengthy opening drive, but he finished with no carries and two catches for only eight yards. Matt Breida also saw a little work with the first-team offense, and his 16-yard gain was the team's only chunk play in the running game before halftime. Moss figures to be part of a two- or even three-man committee to start the season, with Buffalo kicking things off against Pittsburgh in Week 1.

Moss carried the ball four times for 21 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Moss made his 2021 debut after undergoing offseason ankle surgery and battling a minor hamstring injury during training camp. He played on only one drive and worked exclusively after Devin Singletary was out of the game, picking up notable gains of six and 11 yards. Moss appears to be behind Singletary on the depth chart for the time being, though that makes sense given his inability to stay on the field consistently to this point.

Moss will play in Saturday's preseason game against Chicago, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss had ankle surgery in the offseason and missed a few camp practices with a minor hamstring injury. Saturday will be his 2021 debut, while backfield mate Devin Singletary is no lock to play, as Bills coach Sean McDermott said he'll rest many of the veterans who have already spent a few years with the team. Granted Singletary won't necessarily be among that group, considering he and Moss presumably are still competing for playing time in the backfield.

Moss (hamstring) participated in team drills Monday, Matt Parrino of syracuse.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss was injured last Tuesday and missed Friday's preseason opener in Detroit, but the Bills hope to have him ready for their second exhibition this Saturday at Chicago. It'll be interesting to see how Moss and Devin Singletary split first-team snaps if they both suit up.

Moss (hamstring) is expected to work on the side at Sunday's practice with the aim to have him ready to play Saturday at Chicago, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss sustained a hamstring injury Wednesday that has kept him out in the meantime, including from Friday's exhibition opener at Detroit. Assuming he's able to make it all the way back next weekend, he likely would split the RB reps given to the first-teamers with Devin Singletary, with newcomer Matt Breida serving in a change-of-pace role.

Moss (hamstring) didn't play in Friday's preseason opener against the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
With Moss out, Devin Singletary got the start and delivered a strong performance (48 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on nine touches). Moss and Singletary are expected to split carries once Moss heals up, with Matt Breida, who totaled 27 rushing yards and 15 receiving yards Friday, mixing in as a change-of-pace option. Since Moss's injury is considered minor, he has a chance of suiting up in Week 2 of the preseason against Chicago.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said Friday the team is taking Moss's hamstring injury "one day at a time," according to Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus, who also reports the injury isn't considered serious.
EDGE Analysis
We would guess that McDermott would have a different statement if Moss was going to play in Friday's preseason opener against the Lions, so don't expect the second-year back to be out there. We'll see if he can get in some form of practicing next week as he competes with Devin Singletary -- and to a lesser extent Matt Breida -- for his share of the carries in the Buffalo backfield.
