Moss gained 37 yards on three carries in Saturday's 27-24 preseason victory over the Colts. He also chipped in two receptions on three targets for five yards.
EDGE Analysis
With Devin Singletary held out of the game, Moss was the first back on the field for Buffalo. He began the contest with two rushes of five yards but proceeded to rip off a 27-yard gain on a play that was originally designed to go up the middle. However, Moss was able to bounce off of a tackle and turn the corner for a big gain. After the exhibition, coach Sean McDermott complimented Moss's growth, both on and off the field, per Dan Fetes of ABC Rochester. Singletary is almost certain to begin the season as Buffalo's lead back, though Moss could hold off rookie James Cook for a secondary role in the backfield.

Teammate Devin Singletary recently said Moss has been "looking good" in training camp and is "getting back to himself" after a disappointing 2021, Dom Tibbetts of WKBW reports.
EDGE Analysis
Singletary implies that Moss had a tough time coming back from ankle surgery after his 2020 rookie season, helping to explain the loss of production (and role) last year. There's more competition for playing time after the Bills used a second-round pick on potential passing-down back James Cook, but it's possible Moss could earn a role of his own and force a three-way committee to start the season. ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg believes Moss is "trending toward" having a role in the Bills offense under new coordinator Ken Dorsey.

The Bills drafted James Cook out of Georgia in the second round of the NFL Draft, and the rookie will presumably compete with Moss and Devin Singletary for playing time in 2022.
EDGE Analysis
This spells a bit of trouble for Moss, a third-round pick in 2020. His struggles to date are probably part of the reason the Bills drafted a running back so high. Meanwhile, Singletary ended the 2021 season on a tear, scoring nine touchdowns over the team's last six games (three regular season, three playoffs) while surpassing 80 rushing yards in four of them. Moss last received double-digit carries all the way back in Week 5, and he was even a healthy scratch at times. Expect the Cook to start chipping in on Singletary's workload right away, and the rookie could even leapfrog Moss in short order for the No. 2 role.

Moss carried once for no gain across his six snaps on offense in Sunday's 42-36 overtime loss to the Chiefs in the divisional round.
EDGE Analysis
Though he had a clear path to the top backup role for a second straight game with Matt Breida a healthy inactive once again, Moss did little Sunday beyond providing an occasional breather for starting back Devin Singletary. After he and Singletary mostly worked in a timeshare over the first three quarters of the season, the backfield clearly became the latter's domain down the stretch as the Bills aimed to solidify playoff positioning. With averages of 4.5 yards per carry and 5.7 yards per target over Buffalo's final seven games dating back to Week 14, Singletary seemingly answered any questions about his ability to handle a three-down workload. The Bills may pare down some of Singletary's snap counts over the course of the full 2022 campaign to ensure he's able to carry the load in the games that mean the most, but Moss probably shouldn't be viewed as much more than a high-end insurance plan entering the upcoming season.

Moss carried five times for eight yards and caught two balls for six yards during Sunday's 27-10 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Perhaps Moss would have gotten more work had the Bills pulled away from the 4-13 Jets earlier, but it was close enough for most of the afternoon that the team stuck with hot hand Devin Singletary, who's emerged as the team's clear-cut No. 1 running back in recent weeks. At this stage, Moss is fortunate just to have separated himself from Matt Breida, but the former will be a dart option in playoff pools even if you believe the Bills will advance far. Moss finishes his second regular season with 96 carries for 345 yards and four rushing scores, which equates to a disappointing 3.6 yards per carry. He also had a modest role in the passing game with a 23-197-1 line. All in all, it was a rough sophomore campaign for the 2020 third-round pick.

Moss had five carries for 39 yards and wasn't targeted in the passing game during Sunday's 29-15 win over the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
The good news was that Moss has retaken his spot on the depth chart above Matt Breida, who was made a healthy inactive again. The bad is that Devin Singletary has gotten hot down the stretch (23 carries for 110 yards and two scores Sunday) and seems to be the main guy as the Bills ramp up for the playoffs. Moss might get some extra action if the Bills jump out ahead of the feeble Jets in the regular-season finale, but this is clearly Singletary's show for now and Moss doesn't offer much value as a clear-cut No. 2 on a team where the quarterback also serves as an extra running back.

Moss will be active for the second consecutive game Week 17 against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
There was a point this season in which Moss ended up as a healthy scratch for three of four games, but Sunday will represent the second contest in a row he'll make the active list in favor of Matt Breida, who is again a healthy scratch. Moss was on the field for roughly a third of the offensive snaps last week against the Patriots, but it amounted to just four touches, making his role this week quite a bit uncertain. Meanwhile, starter Devin Singletary saw 12 carries and six targets in the passing game and has now averaged 12.6 carries per game over his last five contests.

Moss rushed three times for 12 yards and caught his only target for 13 yards in Sunday's 33-21 win over the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Moss suited up for the first time since Week 13, with Matt Breida sitting as a healthy scratch. Devin Singletary dominated touches in Buffalo's backfield and finished with 78 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 17 touches. The touchdown came from two yards out, so Singletary has supplanted Moss as Buffalo's preferred short-yardage option. Without a role near the goal line, Moss doesn't see enough volume to garner much fantasy consideration, even with a favorable Week 17 matchup against the Falcons up next.

Moss will take the field for the first time since Week 13 in Sunday's matchup against New England.
EDGE Analysis
Moss had been a healthy scratch in back-to-back weeks and three of the last four overall, giving way to Matt Breida as the backup to Devin Singletary. Breida now finds himself as the healthy scratch, with Singletary and special-teamer Taiwan Jones the only other backs on the active roster. The last time Moss suited up was Week 12 against the Patriots, when he took eight carries for 21 yards and added two catches for 12 yards. It's unclear if a similar usage pattern will be reflected here or if Moss will purely be used in a reserve capacity.

Moss will be a healthy scratch Week 15 against Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Moss will be sidelined for his second contest in a row, as well as his third in the past four games. Look for the backfield to once again be led by Devin Singletary, with Matt Breida also available for what is likely a passing-down role.
