Moss (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, with coach Sean McDermott saying the Bills will go "one day at a time" with the running back's injury, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss missed spring practices after having ankle surgery in January, but he returned for training camp without incident until an early exit from Tuesday's practice. In his absence, Devin Singletary could take on a larger share of the first-team reps, with Matt Breida and/or Antonio Williams mixing in. Come Week 1, the Bills figure to have Moss and Singletary splitting work -- assuming both are healthy -- though it won't necessarily be the 50/50 split they used for much of last season.

Moss exited Tuesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss spent the offseason in recovery mode from a left ankle injury suffered in the Bills' divisional-round win against the Colts that required surgery in mid-January. He opened training camp as a limited practice participant, but he quickly was handling every rep and mentioned that he had cleared the mental aspect of running on the ankle in question. Now, Moss is tending to a new injury, which could impact his availability for Friday's preseason game at Detroit. The situation also may allow Devin Singletary to get a leg up in Buffalo's backfield competition.

Moss has not appeared to struggle with surgically repaired ankle early in training camp, while he told Chris Brown of the Bills' official site that he's cleared the mental hurdle of thinking about it when he runs.
EDGE Analysis
Moss should be plenty ready for the regular season, though the Bills have enough depth at the position that they can take it easy on him, even leading into the regular season if need be. What remains unclear is how the carries will be divided between himself and Devin Singletary, and to a lesser extent newcomer Matt Breida.

Moss (ankle) will practice Wednesday, though head coach Sean McDermott said it would be "irresponsible" if the running back was a full go in the session, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
In other words, Moss will start camp as a limited participant after missing offseason practices entirely. He's coming back from mid-January surgery on his left ankle, again competing with Devin Singletary for first-team reps in the Buffalo backfield. Moss, the 86th overall pick in the 2020 Draft, finished his rookie campaign with 112 carries for 481 yards (4.3 YPC) and four touchdowns, plus 14 catches for 95 yards and another score over his 13 games. Singletary was also a mediocre performer despite starting all 16 games, finishing with 156 carries for 687 yards (4.4 YPC) and two TDs and 38 catches for 260 yards. Given Josh Allen's dominance of the offensive workload, especially in the red zone, it'll be hard for either Moss or Singletary to establish significant fantasy value if the committee continues. Moss at least seems to be on track for Week 1, and he could even make a preseason appearance in August.

Moss, who wasn't able to participate in minicamp following offseason ankle surgery, is expected to be ready for training camp and has been posting videos of his workouts on social media, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss's injury is definitely cause for concern for fantasy managers eyeing a roster spot for someone in the Buffalo backfield, especially given his limited NFL experience, but if he can return to full-go for training camp, those concerns would be mostly out the window. It's also anyone's guess as to whether Moss or Devin Singletary will provide the better value in 2021. Moss is a much bigger back than his teammate and has the ability to earn more between-the-tackle and goal-line runs, while Singletary has more experience, isn't coming off an injury, and has apparently used the offseason to get himself in fantastic shape while Moss has been busy rehabbing. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has even gone so far as to let the public know he'll have an eye on riding the hot hand on a game-to-game basis.

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that Moss (ankle) isn't quite to participate in this week's minicamp practices, Dante Lasting of the Bills' official site reports. "[Offensive lineman Cody Ford] and Zack in particular, they really haven't been able to get back out there to where I'm sure that they would like to at this point. So, we look forward to getting them back at training camp," McDermott said.
EDGE Analysis
Moss got hurt in the team's first playoff game last season, and the injury ended up being a serious one, as he required surgery and apparently is still ramping back up. The 2020 third-round pick should be ready to go once training camp rolls around, and it will be worthwhile to monitor his health status. The Bills seem likely to use a timeshare out of the backfield in 2021, with teammates such as Devin Singletary, Matt Breida, Antonio Williams and Christian Wade all competing with Moss for carries.

Coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that Moss's recovery from ankle surgery is going well, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports. "The discipline, the commitment, the rehab ... and Zack, that takes a special person be able to do that," said the coach.
EDGE Analysis
Moss suffered the injury in the Bills' first playoff game and ended up on injured reserve for the team's last two postseason contests while he underwent surgery. We're not quite sure how close he is to returning to full practice work, but it sounds like the second-year back's status for the 2021 season won't be in question. Moss is slated to compete with Devin Singletary and veteran Matt Breida for as big a backfield role as he can earn for the start of the season.

Moss recently had a cast removed from his surgically repaired ankle, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss injured his ankle in the wild-card round of the playoffs and had surgery in mid-January to repair a ruptured tendon. He should complete his rehab before training camp, but his medical history is already a concern, with Moss mentioning that he's played through a slew of injuries since the start of his collegiate career. There's also the possibility of Buffalo adding backfield competition this offseason, as neither Moss nor Devin Singletary was impressive in 2020.

Moss underwent a minor "tight rope" surgery on his ankle Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
This procedure realigns the ankle to its original position and should help Moss make a full recovery by the beginning of the offseason program. Moss finished the regular season with 112 carries for 481 yards (4.3 YPC) and four touchdowns, adding 14 receptions (18 targets) for 95 yards and a score. The rookie was in a timeshare with Devin Singletary by the end of the year. Singletary, who logged an 84 percent snap share in the divisional-round win over the Ravens, will lead the backfield for the remainder of the Bills' postseason run.

Moss (ankle) was moved to injured reserve Tuesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss was already deemed out for the season after suffering an ugly ankle injury during Saturday's win over the Colts. If you're in a playoff league that requires an official IR status before you're allowed a replacement, you're now free to do so.
