Moss is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Moss who was traded from the Bills along with a conditional 2023 sixth-round pick on Tuesday in exchange for Nyheim Hines, will sit this one out, with Deon Jackson, Phillip Lindsay and Jordan Wilkins slated to handle the Colts' Week 9 backfield duties, given that top back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is inactive.

Moss is a candidate to fill in for Jonathan Taylor in the Colts backfield Sunday at New England, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moss was among the compensation in the Nyheim Hines trade to the Bills, but with a short turnaround to prepare with a new squad there's a chance the former won't be active this weekend. "We're trying to ramp him up as fast as we can," coach Frank Reich said of Moss on Friday. "If we feel like he can be ready, then he'll be up. If we feel like he can't, then we might have to consider moving up Jordan Wilkins." No matter who gets the call between Moss or Wilkins, Deon Jackson is poised to be Indy's lead runner Sunday, while Phillip Lindsay likely will be elevated from the practice squad to serve as the No. 2 back.

The Colts acquired Moss and a conditional 2023 sixth-round pick from the Bills on Tuesday in exchange for Nyheim Hines.
EDGE Analysis
With one of the NFL's top running backs in Jonathan Taylor atop the depth chart in Indianapolis, Moss won't have a path to extensive playing time in his new locale, but he'll at least have a better chance at being active on game days. In Buffalo, Moss had been inactive for the past two games while Devin Singletary and rookie James Cook slotted ahead of him, but the 24-year-old could get a fair opportunity to usurp Deon Jackson for Hines' vacated No. 2 role out of the backfield in Indianapolis. In the five games he played this season, Moss carried 17 times for 91 yards (5.4 YPC) and reeled in seven of his eight targets for 27 yards.

Moss is active for Sunday night's game against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Moss was inactive for the Bills' Week 6 win over Kansas City, but he'll be in uniform versus Green Bay, along with fellow running backs Devin Singletary, James Cook and Taiwan Jones. In that context, Moss isn't a high-percentage fantasy lineup option given that he's logged limited touches in the last two contests he's suited up for.

Moss is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
With Moss inactive, James Cook is slated to work behind Devin Singletary on Sunday, with Taiwan Jones in reserve. Moss's next chance to suit up will arrive in Week 8, with the Bills on bye next week.

Moss rushed three times for six yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Moss played just six offensive snaps in Week 4, marking his lowest total of the season thus far. On the other hand, starter Devin Singletary played 88 percent of the Bills' offensive snaps in the contest, which was his highest snap percentage in the first four weeks. Taking a major backseat to Singletary, Moss is becoming increasingly difficult to trust for fantasy. The veteran's limited opportunities are a concerning trend, and he should be ignored for fantasy purposes when the Bills host the Steelers in Week 5.

Moss ran four times for 46 yards and caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's loss to Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Moss did have a key play in the game when he ripped off a career-best 43-yarder down the sideline, a run where he showed nice burst for a bulkier back. Moss remains a bit player in the high-powered Buffalo offense, getting between three and six carries in each game this season. If there's anything to learn beyond this, it's that he seems to be ahead of rookie James Cook in the pecking order -- if only by a slight margin -- behind starter Devin Singletary, who's far more advanced in the passing game than either of his teammates.

Moss rushed three times for 17 yards and didn't catch his only target in Monday's 41-7 win over the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Devin Singletary got most of the touches in Buffalo's backfield while this game was competitive, while rookie second-round pick James Cook was the primary option after Josh Allen took a seat for the fourth quarter. With the dominant Bills limiting Moss's role even in blowouts, he doesn't have much of a path to touches outside of a Singletary injury.

Moss carried the ball six times for 15 yards and caught all six targets for 21 yards in Buffalo's win over the Rams on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Devin Singletary -- who saw eight carries for 48 yards -- is the clear leader in the backfield, but it's at least noteworthy that Moss outplayed and outgained second-round rookie James Cook, who coughed up a fumble on his only carry of the game. In the end, Singletary played 59 percent of the offensive snaps, Moss played 37 percent and Cook saw a modest five percent. All that said, this could end up being a backfield where no one has all that much value without an injury, as Josh Allen has plenty of fine receivers to throw to and ended up leading the team in both carries (10) and rushing yards (56).

Moss ran for 19 yards and two touchdowns on four carries in Buffalo's preseason game against Denver on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Moss was largely written off earlier in the offseason, especially following Buffalo's second-round selection of James Cook, but the former Utah star has seemingly done well for himself in training camp and preseason. Tentatively expected to establish himself as Buffalo's third runner behind Cook and Devin Singletary, Moss could especially carve out usage in short-yardage and passing-down situations. Consistency and volume don't figure to be his strong suit, however.
