Charbonnet didn't practice Wednesday due to a foot injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Charbonnet played a shade more than 50 percent of the offensive snaps in both of the Seahawks' first two games of the season, accounting for 27 carries for 57 yards and one touchdown and not being targeted. Meanwhile, fellow RB Kenneth Walker was capped at a 40 percent share in both contests but churned out 142 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD on 27 touches. If Charbonnet's new health concern impacts his game-day workload or even sidelines him, Walker would be in line for a significant boost in snaps and touches.

Charbonnet rushed 15 times for 10 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Charbonnet was outplayed by Kenneth Walker, who turned 14 touches into 118 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. The 2022 and 2023 second-round draft picks have been deployed in a near-even split to begin the 2025 campaign. Seattle will likely continue to ride the hot hand in Week 3 against the Saints, though the workload could start to shift away from Charbonnet if Walker continues to outplay him.

Charbonnet took 12 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
The Seahawks opened the 2025 season splitting backfield work between Kenneth Walker and Charbonnet. The latter wound up cashing in Seattle's lone rushing touchdown and finishing with the superior fantasy score. Charbonnet already showed us that he can handle an expanded role while filling in for Walker last season, so we could be witnessing the torch being passed to the younger option. Charbonnet provides more fantasy upside over Walker in a timeshare due to his durability and work in the passing game (52 targets in 2024).

Charbonnet took five carries for 45 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 33-16 preseason win over Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Charbonnet made his preseason debut with the first-team offense as Kenneth Walker is eased back from a minor foot injury. The 24-year-old Charbonnet looked good in the starting role Friday, which was a common theme when he would take over for Walker at times last season. Charbonnet figures to continue operating in the "1B" role when Walker is healthy this upcoming season, although rumblings of a potential timeshare have been brewing in camp.

Charbonnet is pushing for a timeshare in the backfield with Kenneth Walker in 2025, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Charbonnet doesn't match Walker's explosiveness or big-play ability, the former showed he can handle the starting duties when called upon. When Walker missed six games last season, Charbonnet tallied 91 carries for 433 yards (4.8 YPC) and six touchdowns while adding 19 receptions (on 23 targets) for 169 yards. The coaches have been cautious with Walker during training camp to keep him healthy, and using Charbonnet more regularly during the season could help keep Walker upright. The Seahawks' scheme may focus more on the run this year, too, meaning there could be enough carries to make both players fantasy viable. Charbonnet should be considered one of the league's top No. 2 backs regardless. Head coach Mike Macdonald said that the starters won't play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Raiders, and it remains to be seen if that will extend to Charbonnet.

Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker give Seattle backfield continuity in an otherwise revamped offense, ESPN.com's Brady Henderson reports.
EDGE Analysis
Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, QB Geno Smith, and WRs DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are out, replaced by Klint Kubiak, Sam Darnold, Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, respectively. Seattle's backfield, on the other hand, looks the same as last year, with Walker and Charbonnet atop the depth chart while Kenny McIntosh fends off competition for the No. 3 job. There have been some beat-writer whispers about Charbonnet potentially challenging Walker for the starting job under a new coaching staff, although nobody from the Seahawks has said anything to that effect.

Charbonnet rushed 14 times for 59 yards while collecting a lateral for 32 receiving yards in Sunday's 30-25 win over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Charbonnet started the Seahawks' final game of the regular season with Kenneth Walker (ankle) mending on injured reserve. The 23-year-old Charbonnet had a peculiar stat line when he supplanted his modest 59 rushing yards with 32 receiving yards on a lateral from Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Charbonnet technically did not record a target or reception in Sunday's season finale, but his combined efforts brought the well-rounded backup up to 909 combined yards from scrimmage and nine touchdowns across 17 games this year. Expect Charbonnet to continue establishing himself as a candidate to be Seattle's every-down back as the aforementioned Walker enters the final year of his four-year contract.

Charbonnet rushed 15 times for 57 yards and secured all three targets for 19 yards in the Seahawks' 6-3 win over the Bears on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Charbonnet once again stepped in for Kenneth Walker (ankle, IR) and put together a serviceable, albeit unspectacular, performance. The second-year back appeared headed for a much bigger night when he netted 24 yards on his first four carries during the opening drive, but he often found tough sledding on the ground for the remainder of the game. Nevertheless, Charbonnet already has proven capable of shouldering the bulk of the Seahawks' ground attack on multiple occasions, and he should have a pivotal role in a Week 18 road battle against the Rams that could potentially be for the NFC West title.

Charbonnet is slated to serve as Seattle's lead back for the final two games of the regular season after Kenneth Walker was placed on injured reserve Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Walker had already been ruled out in advance of Thursday's game in Chicago, but his move to IR sets up Charbonnet for two starts to close out the season, and potentially at least two more in the playoffs if the Seahawks are able to punch their ticket to the postseason by beating out the Rams for the NFC West title. Charbonnet projects as a strong option in fantasy lineups in Week 17, given the heavy volume the Seahawks have given him in the other four games Walker has missed this season. In those four contests, Charbonnet has scored six touchdowns and has averaged 19.5 touches for 108.8 scrimmage yards.

Charbonnet (elbow) doesn't carry a designation and is expected to start Thursday at Chicago with Kenneth Walker (ankle) ruled out for that contest, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Walker thus will be inactive for a third time in four games, affording Charbonnet his third nod during that stretch. When Walker was sidelined Weeks 14 and 15 due to a calf injury, Charbonnet paced the Seahawks backfield to the tune of 38 touches for 259 yards from scrimmage and three rushing TDs. Reserve RB Kenny McIntosh also got in the act during those two games, tallying 54 total yards on 12 touches.
