Williams caught five of seven targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-10 loss to the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
While his overall performance wasn't as impressive as in his Raiders debut, Williams still found the end zone for the second straight game. The former Charger has quickly established himself as Derek Carr's top downfield option, and he already seems poised to challenge or top his career-high numbers from 2016 (69 catches for 1,059 yards and seven touchdowns).

Williams was a limited practice participant Friday due to an illness but doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Clearly, the Raiders aren't concerned about Williams' chances to suit up Week 2. In Monday's season-opening win against the Broncos, he led Oakland's wideout corps by a long shot in terms of snap share (95 percent) and targets (seven), with only tight end Darren Waller (100 percent, eight) challenging him on those fronts. Expect much of the same Sunday against an exploitable Kansas City defense.

Williams is expected to be the No. 1 receiver after Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Antonio Brown was released Saturday,
EDGE Analysis
While Williams will have a difficult matchup against Chris Harris and the rest of the Broncos defense in Monday's Week 1 matchup, the ex-Chargers wideout immediately vaults into a prominent fantasy position this season. As the de-facto No. 1 wide receiver for the Chargers in 2016, Williams recorded 1,059 receiving yards and seven touchdowns across 16 games, but in the two ensuing seasons combined the 27-year-old compiled 1,381 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, mostly wasting away behind a healthy Keenan Allen and a variety of other weapons. The obvious downgrade at quarterback from the Chargers to the Raiders might cap his production overall, but Williams is nevertheless in a prime spot to make good on his vast potential.

Williams could serve as the Raiders' No. 1 wide receiver after Jeff Darlington of ESPN reported Saturday that Antonio Brown may not play in Monday's contest against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
Considering the nature of this story seems to change hour to hour, it's difficult to say for certain how significant of a role Williams will have in the offense. J.J. Nelson and Hunter Renfrow figure to see a bump as well if Brown ultimately does not play.

Williams is slated to serve as the Raiders' No. 2 wide receiver Monday against the Broncos with Antonio Brown back in action, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
On Thursday, a team-mandated suspension appeared imminent for Brown, which would have placed Williams at the top of Oakland's wideout hierarchy Week 1. However, Brown and the Raiders made peace Friday, pushing Williams to a role that he's been accustomed to throughout his career.

With Antonio Brown reportedly facing a suspension leading up to Week 1, per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Williams (undisclosed) figures to be in line for an expanded role Monday night against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
The details of Brown's potential suspension have yet to be revealed, but if Brown does indeed sit out the Raiders' opener, added opportunities would be available for Williams -- who was slated to start anyway -- as well as J.J. Nelson and Hunter Renfrow.

Williams (undisclosed) didn't practice Sunday, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
It remains to be seen if Williams is dealing with an injury or illness, or is simply getting a maintenance day. Assuming his absence is not a lengthy one, Williams heads into the coming season in line to start opposite fellow newcomer Antonio Brown, who has been dealing with a foot issue.

Williams caught his lone target, a 27-yard gain, during Thursday's 33-26 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The Raiders only had Derek Carr in for one series, but he linked up with Williams for the biggest shot of Oakland's opening touchdown drive. Carr took a quick drop and lofted it up for Williams, who used his size to box out his defender for a 27-yard gain. Williams is one of several new weapons in Oakland's offense and, though just one play, Thursday's reception showed the kind of asset Williams can be over the top while the likes of Antonio Brown and Ryan Grant do damage underneath and on intermediate routes.

Williams isn't slated to play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Rams, Jerry McDonald of the East Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The additions of Williams and Antonio Brown in the offseason represented a massive overhaul of the receiving options at Derek Carr's disposal. That said, ongoing issues with Brown have put a damper on those plans. At least for one week, the Raiders will keep the vast majority of first-teamers on the bench, but Williams could be serving as the No. 1 wideout when they are allowed to take the field.

Following the release of Jordy Nelson on Thursday, Antonio Brown and Williams are the Raiders' top options at wide receiver, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Mayock is making a splash as a first-time GM, agreeing to terms of a trade for Antonio Brown this past weekend and inking Williams to four-year contract Wednesday. With Brown and Williams in the fold, the Raiders opted to cut ties with Nelson after just one season. Williams has experience complementing a top-tier wide receiver, averaging 42 catches (on 67 targets) for 690.5 yards and 4.5 touchdowns the past two campaigns behind the Chargers' Keenan Allen.
