However, Fulgham floundered down the stretch and only notched a combined 104 receiving yards in the Eagles' final eight games.

When injuries hit the Eagles' group of wide receivers last season, Fulgham was featured from Weeks 4-11, a span in which he surpassed 50 receiving yards five times in seven games. After that point, though, he topped out at 30 yards in the final six games as he was squeezed out of the offense. With a new coaching staff in Philly, Fulgham was fighting for a roster spot with the likes of recent Eagles draftees John Hightower and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside this offseason but lost out. It'll be interesting to see if Fulgham garners any interest on waivers, but he may be a candidate for the Philadelphia practice squad, if not.

Fulgham caught one of two targets for 18 yards in Friday's preseason tie against the Jets.

Every Eagles wide receiver except for rookie DeVonta Smith saw action in the preseason finale, but Fulgham didn't make an appearance until late in the second quarter, well after the team's starters had left the field. That usage doesn't bode well for the 25-year-old, and despite his big five-game run in the first half of 2020, Fulgham's hold on a roster spot seems tenuous.

Fulgham has worked with the depth groups in the Eagles' two preseason games thus far, Mike Kaye of NJ.com reports.

Fulgham has not caught a pass in either of the team's two exhibitions and has had problems with drops in camp. After leading the team in receiving in 2020, his spot on the team appears locked in, but Quez Watkins has outplayed the 25-year-old this summer and may have passed him on the depth chart.

Once Reagor is healthy, Fulgham may end up competing for the third receiver spot instead of the second, but either way he'll be getting some practice snaps with quarterback Jalen Hurts and the rest of the starters. The No. 3 role could come down to a battle between Fulgham and slot specialist Greg Ward, which in turn could be determined by how the team feels about Smith or Reagor playing the slot in three-wide sets.
