Thomas was released by the Seahawks on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports. Thomas was brought in in late July to compete for a reserve cornerback job, but he did not show enough to stick around more than a few weeks.

Seahawks signed CB Terrell Thomas. Back-to-back tears of his right ACL cost Thomas all of 2011-12, but he rebounded to appear in all 16 games for the Giants last season, playing 588 snaps. Although he's not guaranteed a roster spot as he reunites with his college coach Pete Carroll, Thomas is in a good spot to provide veteran insurance for the Seahawks' Legion of Boom.

In a radio interview, free agent CB Terrell Thomas said teams are concerned about his surgically-repaired knee. Back-to-back tears of the same ACL sidelined Thomas for 2011 and 2012, but he came back last season to play 588 solid snaps for the Giants. Thomas cited this healthy season as proof he can stay on the field and be a solid contributor on defense. NFL teams might not be so optimistic, but Thomas will almost surely find a job once injuries start to mount in training camp. A possible landing spot could be Detroit, who worked out Thomas at the end of May and just recently cut ties with free agent CB Chris Houston.

The Lions worked out free agent DB Terrell Thomas on Wednesday. Thomas, 29, has worked out with or visited Detroit, New England, Carolina, and Oakland since the start of free agency. Although he is not a starting-caliber corner, Thomas can play multiple positions and be a valuable reserve.

Patriots worked out free agent CB Terrell Thomas. Thomas missed all of 2011-12 after suffering two separate ACL tears, but was able to play in 16 games for the Giants last season. At 29 he is not the player he was before the injuries, but Thomas would offer a veteran option the Patriots could use to bridge the gap caused by CB Brandon Browner's four-game suspension. This is the first interest Thomas has generated since visiting the Panthers and Raiders in March.

Free agent CB Terrell Thomas visited the Panthers. Thomas would be a cheap, veteran flier for the Panthers' under-construction secondary. Thomas visited the Raiders last week, but has otherwise drawn little interest. He's Rotoworld's No. 2 remaining corner.

The Giants have yet to make an offer to free agent CB Terrell Thomas. Thomas visited with the Raiders this week, but hasn't drawn much interest. The Giants are fully expected to move on from him and have been linked to free agent CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. It's possible Thomas could return to the Giants on a team-friendly deal if he doesn't like the offers he receives on the open market. Thomas, 29, is Rotoworld's No. 4 remaining free-agent corner.

Free agent CB Terrell Thomas will visit the Raiders on Wednesday. Thomas missed all of 2011-12 after suffering back-to-back ACL tears, but appeared in all 16 games last season. He played 588 snaps, notching one pick. Now 29 with an ominous injury history, Thomas shouldn't command much in the way of guaranteed money. He's the kind of veteran spare part Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie has grown obsessed with.

Free agent CB Terrell Thomas plans to hit the open market. "If [the Giants] come back with something that's extremely favorable, I'd sign it," Thomas said. "But more than likely, I'm going to hit the market." Thomas appeared in all 16 games in 2013 after missing the 2011 and 2012 seasons with bacb-to-back torn ACLs. He said after the season that he wants to be a starter in 2014. Thomas recently turned 29 and is our No. 13 free-agent corner.

Impending free agent CB Terrell Thomas wants to be a starter in 2014. After missing the entire 2011 and 2012 seasons due to back-to-back torn ACLs, Thomas returned to appear in all 16 games as the Giants' nickel corner in 2013. He started seven of those games, making 67 tackles, one interception, and five pass breakups. "At the end of the day, whether it's at safety, corner, nickel, I want to start, 16 games, every game, contribute every game I can," Thomas said. "I want to get back to my old ways." Thomas turned 29 on Wednesday.
