Ginn (knee) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Absent from practice this week due to a knee injury, Ginn will fit in a multi-week respite with the Panthers already slated for a playoff opener in the divisional round. In his place, the Panthers will turn to Philly Brown, Devin Funchess, and Greg Olsen to sustain the passing attack in the season finale.

Ginn (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bucs.
EDGE Analysis
With that in mind, Coach Ron Rivera indicated Friday that Ginn "didn't come around as (he) had hoped," with the wideout's likely Week 17 absence setting the stage for added opportunities for Philly Brown and Devin Funchess on Sunday.

Ginn (knee) was not at practice Friday, ESPN's David Newton reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Newton previously relayed optimism with regard to Ginn's Week 17 status, he suggests now that it doesn't look like we'll see the wideout Sunday against the Bucs. More on Ginn's status upon the release of the Panthers' official injury report later Friday.

Ginn (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, but Panthers coach Ron Rivera said there's no concern that the wide receiver will miss Sunday's home date with the Buccaneers, ESPN's David Newton reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even though the Panthers clinched the Division with a 14-1-0 record, Ginn is needed to help the Cats claw toward home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. He's defied the odds by turning in a breakout year at the age of 30, with 44 receptions for 739 yards and 10 dances in the end zone. Only nine receivers have hit pay dirt more often than Ginn this season. Look out for an official activation closer to kickoff, but It appears that he'll be available Sunday if your fantasy league stretches to Week 17 or he's needed for daily fantasy purposes.

Ginn (knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn was listed on last week's injury report with a quadriceps issue and sustained a calf injury during Sunday's loss in Atlanta, but a knee concern kept him out of the first practice of this week. Because head coach Ron Rivera told David Newton of ESPN.com that Jonathan Stewart (foot) didn't practice due to heavy rain, a similar thought process may have played a role in the decision to hold out Ginn. No matter the reason, Ginn's ability to practice Thursday and Friday will reveal the extent of his current ailment.

Ginn left in the first half of Sunday's game against the Falcons with a calf injury, ESPN.com reports. He finished with one catch on three targets for nine yards.
EDGE Analysis
Ginn had been a big part of the Panthers' passing game over the past few weeks, and his absence certainly was felt in their first loss of the season. The severity of the injury isn't known yet, though the Panthers could clinch home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a Week 17 win over the Bucs.

Ginn (quadriceps) is listed as active Sunday at Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
The epitome of hit-or-miss due to a dour 46% catch percentage on the season -- 43 receptions on 93 targets -- Ginn has nonetheless been on the receiving end of two touchdowns in three consecutive contests. If he strikes again, he'll do so against a Falcons defense that has conceded a disastrous 19.0 YPC and four touchdowns to wideouts over the last three outings.

Ginn (quad) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Ron Rivera noted Thursday that he expects Ginn to be full speed Sunday, with the wideout -- who caught six of 15 targets for 85 yards in Week 15's win over the Giants -- set to take aim at a Falcons defense that is allowing an average of 246.1 passing yards per game to date. Ginn is currently on a roll that has seen him catch two TDs in three straight contests.

EDGE Analysis
With a full practice in his back pocket, Ginn has fulfilled head coach Ron Rivera's prediction from Wednesday. Ginn may be hard-pressed to post two touchdowns for a fourth consecutive game Sunday in Atlanta, though the Falcons have yielded four scores to wideouts over the last three contests.
