Sims caught five of eight targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 47-16 loss to the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
He also lost six yards on one carry. Sims began the season as a return man and gadget player on offense, with his lone impact play in the first half of the year coming on a 65-yard end-around for a score against the Patriots in Week 5, but as injuries thinned the receiver ranks for Washington, the undrafted rookie got a chance to show he is a capable route runner as well. Sims hauled in 23 of 40 targets for 259 yards and four TDs over his last five games, and he also added a 91-yard kickoff return touchdown in Week 12. Terry McLaurin (concussion) remains the team's No. 1 WR heading into 2020, and Washington's eventual new head coach may want to bolster the depth of the position group in the draft or via free agency, but Sims seems to have done enough to earn a prominent role in the offense next year.

Sims caught six of 10 targets for 64 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 41-35 loss to the Giants. He also carried two times for nine yards.
EDGE Analysis
Sims led the team in targets while adding receiving touchdowns in the first and third quarters. He hadn't received more than four targets in any game prior to Week 14, but he's been thrown to 28 times over the last three weeks while hauling in 15 of those targets and scoring three touchdowns. Sims is clearly carving out a prominent role in the offense and will look to finish the season off on a high note next Sunday against the Cowboys.

Sims caught five of 11 targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 loss to Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Sims scored his first career receiving touchdown from five yards out in the second quarter, but he also had a critical drop on a deep ball with the game tied in the fourth. The Redskins challenged the play for possible defensive pass interference, but their challenge came up empty. With his role expanding down the stretch, a deep-league flier on Sims could end up paying off against the vulnerable Giants secondary in Week 16.

Offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell said Friday that he wants Sims to get the ball more, Craig Hoffman of 106.7 The Fan Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
The undrafted rookie replaced Trey Quinn (concussion) as Washington's primary slot receiver in last week's 20-15 loss to Green Bay, catching four of seven targets for 40 yards while playing a season-high 71 percent of the offensive snaps. Quinn has been ruled out again for Sunday's game against the Eagles, leaving Sims with another nice opportunity to see regular playing time.

Sims secured four of seven targets for 40 yards in the Redskins' 20-15 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Sims drew the start for Trey Quinn (concussion) in Sunday's contest and finished second on the team in receptions and receiving yards. The undrafted rookie has mainly been given opportunities as a kick returner this season, but his encouraging effort on offense Sunday could help him carve out additional snaps from scrimmage during the Redskins' three remaining games.

Sims is expected to replace Trey Quinn (concussion) as Washington's top slot receiver Sunday in Green Bay, Kyle Stackpole of the Redskins' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sims filled in after Quinn suffered the concussion early in last week's 29-21 win over the Panthers, ultimately catching three of four targets for 29 yards while playing 58 percent of the offensive snaps. The undrafted rookie isn't a great bet for more than three or four targets, but he has shown some explosiveness with a 65-yard rushing touchdown (Week 5) and a 91-yard kick return score (Week 12). Given how little Quinn has done this year, it isn't out the question for Sims to take the No. 3 receiver job on a more permanent basis.

Sims caught three of four targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 29-21 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The undrafted rookie played a season-high 58 percent of snaps on offense, filling in as the No. 3 receiver after Trey Quinn suffered a concussion in the first half. Sims had a kick return touchdown the previous week and a 65-yard rushing score earlier in the year, so any contributions he makes as a pass catcher might be seen as a bonus. He should get another look in the No. 3 role if Quinn is inactive for Week 14's game at Green Bay.

Sims had a 91-yard kickoff return touchdown in Sunday's 19-16 win over the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Sims also drew two targets but finished without a catch. He's hauled in 11 of 16 targets for just 51 yards on the season, but he at least has shown some big-play ability in other facets, with the kick-return touchdown Sunday and a 66-yard rushing score earlier in the year. Paul Richardson's hamstring injury could open up a few extra snaps for Sims in Week 13 at Carolina.

Sims caught two of four targets for six yards in Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
With Paul Richardson (hamstring) inactive, Sims and Kelvin Harmon both got some extra work. It was Harmon who took advantage with a 5-53-0 receiving line, leading the team in both catches and targets (six). Sims figures to work as the No. 4 wide receiver if Richardson isn't back for Week 12 against Detroit.

Sims caught his only target for a 12-yard gain during Sunday's 24-9 loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a career-high four touches in Week 7, Sims was targeted just once in Dwayne Haskins' debut start. The rookie has made some nifty plays as a runner, particularly his 65-touchdown in Week 5, but is only averaging 5.0 yards per catch on nine receptions this season. Fans can probably continue to expect a bit of a learning curve down the stretch as Haskins and, to a lesser extent, Sims, grow more comfortable in their first season. The good news is that the Jets' 24th-ranked pass defense awaits after the bye and they've been pretty generous graders in recent weeks.
