Sims (toe) is active for Thursday's game against the Vikings, Andrew Groover of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sims was initially listed as questionable for Week 8, but he's successfully managed to shake his toe issue. The 22-year-old figures to do most of his damage as Washington's top kick returner, though he'll also serve as a depth receiving option.

Sims (toe) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Sims was able to practice in a limited fashion Tuesday and Wednesday, but he's still in danger of missing the first game of his career. The Kansas University product has only been targeted nine times in seven games, and Kelvin Harmon figures to bump into the No. 4 wideout role if Sims can't go.

Sims (toe) logged limited practice during Tuesday's session.
EDGE Analysis
Sims was estimated to be a non-participant for Monday's session, but as evidenced by this news, seems to be progressing nicely from injury. The 22-year-old is coming off three receptions for five yards last week, and still has a chance to suit up in Thursday's clash against Minnesota. If he can't go, Wendell Smallwood would likely take over kick return duties, and Kelvin Harmon would bump up the depth chart at receiver.

Sims was estimated to be a non-participant on Monday's injury report with a toe injury, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sims had three receptions for five yards and returned three kickoffs for 63 yards in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, but he apparently sustained the toe injury at some point. The 22-year-old will likely need to progress to limited participation in order to have a legitimate chance of suiting up Thursday against the VIkings.

Sims took his lone carry for a 65-yard touchdown and caught two of three targets for one yard in Sunday's 33-7 loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Sims provided Washington's only real highlight on offense, breaking a couple tackles to take an end-around to the house in the first quarter. He also handled a season-high 54 percent snap share, with Washington using some four-wide formations in the absence of tight ends Jordan Reed (concussion) and Vernon Davis (concussion). Sims is making a nice case for a part-time role on offense in addition to his work as a kick return specialist, and he could get a few more chances with Bill Callahan replacing Jay Gruden as head coach.

Coach Jay Gruden praised Sims' ability to separate and called him "electric" Tuesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sims has recorded only two catches for 25 yards on seven targets this preseason but has nonetheless managed to impress the coaching staff. The undrafted rookie out of Kansas certainly has a shot to earn a depth role in Washington's wideout room, which lacks both top-end talent and reliable depth, but could need to impress on special teams in order to earn offensive snaps.

The Redskins signed Sims as an undrafted free agent Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Sims' best collegiate season was his sophomore year when he posted 72 catches for 859 yards and seven touchdowns. He regressed in all three categories in each of the next two years, recording 53 receptions for 535 yards and four scores in his senior season. Sims joins undrafted receiver T.J. Rahming and two drafted wideouts Terry McLaurin and Kelvin Harmon on Washington's roster.
