Smith (back) made seven catches on 10 targets for 137 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-20 loss at San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was highly questionable for this game, after missing Week 5, but was once again able to make big plays, including a 34-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. He's been a boom-or-bust option so far this season, with three monster games and two clunkers, but despite the inconsistency, Smith remains Joe Flacco's most explosive and reliable weapon, partially due to a lack of other options. The veteran wideout will have a tough assignment next week, as he'll likely match up against CB Patrick Peterson when the Ravens travel to Arizona.

Smith (back) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, Smith -- who has microfractures in his back -- indicated Friday that he had low expectations of playing this week, but he is in uniform Sunday. How much time he'll see on the field this week remains to be seen, however, which makes him a speculative Week 6 play.

Smith (back) is expected to play Sunday against the 49ers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
EDGE Analysis
Smith said that he was not expecting to Sunday because his back did not respond in the way he was hoping during his limited practices this week, but he apparently had some late improvement that could allow him to get back on the field. Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown were expected to see bigger workloads if Smith sat, but that could be pushed down now that he is likely to play.

Smith (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in San Francisco, the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the designation, Smith conceded that he's unlikely to play, as his back didn't respond the way he was hoping during his limited practice sessions this week. If Smith does indeed miss the game, Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown would lead the Baltimore wideout group in snaps, with Chris Givens (ankle) and Jeremy Ross playing complementary roles. Owners shouldn't entirely give up on Smith's availability, as there's some chance his pain subsides before Sunday's 4:25 PM ET kickoff.

Smith (back) said he does not expect to play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith's official status for the game will be available by the end of Friday afternoon, but even if he's listed as questionable, it sounds like he won't be able to play. He logged limited practices both Wednesday and Thursday, but he was visibly slowed by the injury, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

Smith (back) practiced for the second straight day Thursday, the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Smith's continued practice participation is a positive sign, ESPN's Jamison Hensley relays that the veteran wideout "didn't have a strong burst," at least during the media access portion of Thursday's practice. With that in mind, Smith's status for Sunday's game against the 49ers remains unclear, though hopefully Friday's final Week 6 injury report will add some clarity on that front.

Smith, who is dealing with microfractures in his back, practiced Wednesday, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, Smith -- who injured his back on Oct. 1 -- "ran his routes at full speed, but had some trouble when slowing down or changing direction." While Smith's presence on the field Wednesday is decidedly a step in the right direction, it remains unclear if the veteran wideout will play Sunday against the 49ers. More on his status no later than Thursday's practice.

Smith, who is dealing with microfractures in his back, has a chance to return to action in Week 6, the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Such an outcome is far from a lock though, with coach John Harbaugh having expressed a modest degree of optimism Monday with regard to the veteran wideout's chances of suiting up this weekend against the 49ers. "We'll see," Harbaugh noted of Smith, whose final Week 5 status apparently wasn't decided until game-time. "I don't know. He was in here training hard, so that's a good sign. I'm hopeful, very hopeful."

Smith (back) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Smith didn't practice all week, and was fully expected to sit out the afternoon contest. In his absence, look for Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown to start, with Darren Waller and Chris Givens next in line on the depth chart. Smith will look to return to action for Week 6's showdown in San Francisco.

Smith (back) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Browns, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith missed the entire week of practice, and it will be a huge surprise if he plays in Sunday's game against the Browns. Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown figure to start at wide receiver, but Smith could return for Week 6 to knock one of the two out of the starting lineup.
