DeValve left Sunday's practice with an apparent thigh injury and did not return, Zac Jackson of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear how DeValve suffered the injury or how severe it is, but the team elected to keep him sidelined with his thigh wrapped up. Expect an update on DeValve's status as soon as Monday, but even a somewhat serious injury would hurt an already-thin tight end unit in Cleveland.

DeValve, David Njoku and Darren Fells will all be in the mix for playing time at tight end, Andrew Gribble of the Browns' official website reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeValve finished second on the team last season in catches (33) and receiving yards (395), but Njoku had a 4-1 advantage in touchdowns and a 60-57 edge in targets. The 2017 first-round pick is poised to take on a larger share of the receiving work in his second pro campaign, and Fells was brought in this offseason to provide a veteran in-line blocking presence. DeValve still figures to have a roster spot, but it's hard to see how he won't be the odd man out in terms of earning consistent snaps.

DeValve, who didn't record a reception on one target in Cleveland's Week 17 loss to the Steelers, ends 2017 with 33 catches for 395 yards and a touchdown.
EDGE Analysis
It was a breakout year of sorts for the second-year tight end, as he was much more involved in the offensive game plan than he was during his rookie campaign. Though he shared time with David Njoku, DeValve's 33 receptions were second most on the team, as were his 395 receiving yards. With Njoku expected to be more of a centerpiece in Hue Jackson's offense in 2018, DeValve's production may tail off a bit, so continue to stay away from him in the majority of fantasy formats.

DeValve caught two of four targets for 32 yards during Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Per usual, DeValve and David Njoku split snaps Sunday, with the rookie garnering a few more. DeValve is fourth on the team with 52 targets despite playing only around 50 percent of Cleveland's snaps, and would likely be one of DeShone Kizer's favorite receivers if he wasn't in a timeshare, though that will likely never come to fruition as long as Njoku is around.

DeValve played 43 percent (25 of 58) of the team's offensive snaps and caught two of three targets for 16 yards during Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
While DeValve and rookie tight end David Njoku usually split playing time, the former was actually out-snapped by blocking tight end Randall Telfer, as well. This could've been due to the game script and playcalling by coach Hue Jackson, but this is definitely something to keep an eye on going forward. The 24-year-old tight end has 28 receptions for 351 yards and a touchdown in his second year out of Princeton.

DeValve (hip) is listed as active Sunday against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
DeValve came up with a minor hip injury during Thursday's practice, but the ailment wasn't expected to hold him out of the Week 14 contest. He's been splitting snaps and targets with rookie David Njoku for the majority of the season, though Njoku has been a bit more active in the passing game of late.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson expects DeValve (hip) to play in Sunday's game against Green Bay, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeValve is listed as questionable after suffering a minor hip injury at Thursday's practice. He's apparently still expected to play, but the injury could inspire the Browns to give David Njoku a bit of extra playing time. DeValve and Njoku have split snaps and targets all season.

DeValve brought in two of three targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 19-10 loss to the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Rookie tight end David Njoku stole the show with his fourth touchdown catch of the season, but DeValve still played over 50 percent of the team's offensive snaps and finished third on the team in receiving yards. The second-year pro out of Princeton has taken a big leap forward in 2017 with 26 catches for 335 yards and a touchdown.

DeValve played 24 of 70 offensive snaps (34 percent) and finished with two catches on two targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
For one of the first times this season, DeValve watched rookie tight end David Njoku get the majority of the offensive snaps while also catching a career-high four passes. Though DeValve has been more productive throughout the campaign, the winless Browns may want to start figuring out who they have in Njoku, and increased playing time could be on the horizon for the 21-year-old. DeValve should still see the field, but opportunities to add to his 24 receptions may begin to decrease as the season winds down.

DeValve finished with one catch on three targets for five yards during Sunday's 19-7 loss to the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off his best game of the season in Week 10, DeValve failed to keep the momentum going against the Jaguars. Granted, quarterback DeShone Kizer struggled throughout the contest, completing just 16 total passes, so not much of DeValve's lackluster performance should be blamed on him. Plus, he was on the field for 12 more plays than his David Njoku, and it has become abundantly clear that coach Hue Jackson favors DeValve over the rookie.
