Griffin caught six of eight targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 26-18 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin appeared to come down with his third touchdown in the last two games late in the first half, but the would-be two-yard score was ruled incomplete on replay. Chris Herndon (hamstring) is getting closer to rejoining the team on the field and was actually active for this one, but he didn't get into the game. Once Herndon returns to game action, Griffin will likely fall off the fantasy radar, but it's not clear if that will happen by the Jets' Week 10 meeting with the Giants.

Griffin caught all four of his targets for 66 yards and two touchdowns while also hauling in a two-point conversion in Sunday's 29-15 loss to Jacksonville.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin posted his best game of the season, highlighted by a 24-yard touchdown in the first quarter and a three-yard score in the third to bring his season touchdown total to three. He followed up the latter score with a two-point conversion. This was a nice performance, but Griffin still figures to be relegated to a backup role once Chris Herndon returns from his hamstring injury, which could be as soon as Week 9 in Miami.

Griffin caught a one-yard pass on two targets in Monday's 33-0 loss to New England.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin has operated as the Jets' No. 1 tight end all season with Chris Herndon suspended to start the year and now battling a hamstring injury, but Griffin has just nine catches through six games to show for all that playing time. With Herndon expected back possibly as soon as Week 8 against the Jaguars, Griffin shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.

Griffin caught all three of his targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
The yardage was a season high for the veteran tight end, while the TD was his first of the year. Griffin has led an uninspiring group of Jets tight ends through the first five games, but his role figures to shrink once Chris Herndon (hamstring) is ready to join the lineup.

Griffin is expected to remain the Jets' starting tight end Sunday against the Cowboys with Chris Herndon (hamstring) trending toward an inactive status, Randy Lange of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Herndon missing the Jets' first four games while serving a suspension, Griffin has been the clear leader of a tight-end room that also includes Daniel Brown and Trevon Wesco. Unfortunately, Griffin hasn't been able to extract much value from the top role, hauling in only five of seven targets for 17 yards and no touchdowns despite playing more than 90 percent of the offensive snaps in every game. Herndon's impending return was expected to send Griffin back into a limited reserve gig, but the former suffered an injury in practice Oct. 4 that is expected to keep him out for at least another game, if not two. Griffin's run as a starter will thus get extended, but his middling production to date suggests there's little fantasy upside to be had, even with franchise quarterback Sam Darnold (illness) returning from a three-game absence this week.

Griffin caught his only target for two yards in Sunday's 31-6 loss to the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin has failed to seize the opportunity while Chris Herndon served a four-game suspension, totaling only five catches for 17 yards in four games as the starting tight end. He should fade even deeper into obscurity when Herndon's return pushes Griffin down to the No. 2 role.

Griffin caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 30-14 loss to New England.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin hasn't capitalized on Chris Herndon's (suspension) absence to this point, but he'll get one more crack as the starting tight end in Week 5 against the Eagles after New York's Week 4 bye.

Griffin didn't catch his only target in Monday's loss to the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets deployed two below-average quarterbacks -- Trevor Siemian (ankle) and Luke Falk -- in Week 2, but Griffin's results (3-10-0) weren't any better with Sam Darnold (illness) under center in Week 1. Griffin will need to gain chemistry with Falk during this week's practice to have any offensive upside in Sunday's game versus the Patriots.

Griffin caught three of four targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Griffin was the only tight end to earn a target with Chris Herndon (suspension) sitting out the first of four games, but the former Texan wasn't much of a difference-maker. Running back Le'Veon Bell and slot receiver Jamison Crowder vacuumed up most of the work underneath.

Griffin failed to haul in his only target in Thursday's preseason opener against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran tight end will likely become more involved as the preseason unfolds. Starter Chris Herndon was eligible to play in this one even though he'll be suspended for the first four games of the regular season, and he caught a 32-yard pass on the opening drive. Griffin is still the favorite to hold down the No. 2 spot at this point.
