The Washington Times reports the Redskins do not plan "at this time" to add a veteran running back such as Ryan Grant or Cedric Benson. The Washington Post and ESPN 980 Washington had already downplayed the original CBS Sports report that the team had discussed the two veterans. Both sites specifically mentioned that Benson wasn't a legit candidate. This appears to be a typical case of the personnel department spit-balling available names for an emergency list. No signing is imminent.
