Sunday's game was Fitzpatrick's first this season without two touchdowns, but the Jets relied heavily on the run, with Chris Ivory rumbling for a career-high 166 yards. Fitzpatrick isn't expected to light up many fantasy scoreboards, though he does have dangerous wideouts in Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker that surely make him playable in two-QB leagues. Up next is a Week 6 game against Washington following a Week 5 bye.

The Jets played from behind for most of the game, as they trailed 24-7 at the half, which was the reason why Fitzpatrick had so many passing attempts. He connected with seven different receivers, including wideout Brandon Marshall 10 times for 109 yards and a touchdown, but the absence of Eric Decker certainly played a role in the Jets' struggles. The good news is that Decker could return in Week 4 against the Dolphins in London, giving Fitzpatrick one of his favorite targets back.

With Fitzpatrick mostly impressive in leading the Jets to a 2-0 record, Geno Smith (jaw) is expected to rejoin the team in a backup role, likely at some point in October. Of course, Fitzpatrick still has time to play his way out of the starting job, and he may be without Eric Decker (knee) in the coming weeks.

On the back of two straight wins, Fitzpatrick has acquitted himself nicely as the Jets' starting quarterback and will look to continue his steady play in Week 3 against the Eagles.

The Jets controlled the game for the majority of the second half, keeping Fitzpatrick from having to throw the ball very often. He looked like he had a third touchdown pass, but lost it to an offensive holding call. His touchdowns went to his two top targets, Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.
