Fitzpatrick (thumb) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Per ESPN.com, Fitzpatrick played in this past Sunday's win over the Jags while sporting a brace and a glove to protect his left (non-throwing) thumb. He'll continue to play through the issue Thursday, though it's possible that the QB could elect to undergo surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb as early as Friday. If that happens, Fitzpatrick believes that he'd have a chance to be back in time for the Jets' next game, which occurs on Nov. 22 against the Texans.

Fitzpatrick (thumb) practiced in full Tuesday, the Jets' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzpatrick's availability for Thursday's contest against the Bills isn't really in question, but how the Jets proceed with the torn ligament in his left thumb could have an effect on his availability thereafter. Even if he undergoes surgery Friday, a chance exists for Fitzpatrick to return in Week 11 versus the Texans.

Fitzpatrick acknowledged Monday that the information he has is that he needs surgery on his left thumb "at some point," but he "will not be having it before" Thursday's game against the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
With that in mind, coach Todd Bowles relayed that Fitzpatrick could have his thumb repaired as soon as Friday, though such a procedure could potentially wait until the end of season. Moreover, the report suggests that if Fitzpatrick does indeed get his thumb issue addressed Friday, it's within the realm of possibility that the QB would still be able to play in the Jets' Week 11 contest against the Texans.

Fitzpatrick -- who is dealing with a torn ligament in his left thumb -- could elect to have surgery to address the issue before the end of the season, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets take on the Bills this coming Thursday and there's been nothing yet to suggest that the QB will miss the contest, though Seth Walder of the Daily News relays that when asked if he might have surgery as soon as this coming Friday, Fitzpatrick replied, "I don't know. It's still kind of up in the air."

Fitzpatrick (thumb) completed 21-of-34 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzpatrick showed no ill-effects from his thumb injury as he threw touchdown passes to Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall. He leaned heavily upon his outside receivers, as he threw 17 of his 34 attempts to Decker and Marshall. Despite the Jets being able to run for only one yard per carry against the Jaguars, that didn't stop him from throwing two touchdown passes for the sixth time in the seven games that he started and finished this year.

Fitzpatrick (thumb) is active Sunday against the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzpatrick left last Sunday's game against the Raiders due to the ailment (he later returned when backup Geno Smith was hurt as well), though he was able to practice this week, including a full showing Friday. In other good news, wideout Brandon Marshall is active after being listed as questionable with toe and ankle issues, giving Fitzpatrick his full arsenal of weapons against Jacksonville.

Coach Todd Bowles indicated Wednesday that Fitzpatrick (thumb) will start Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
EDGE Analysis
According to Bowles, Fitzpatrick "looked fine" at practice Wednesday, while doing "everything he would normally do." Thus, assuming no setbacks, Fitzpatrick will tough it out this weekend, while setting his sights at a Jaguars' defense that is allowing an average of 263.9 passing yards per game to date.

Fitzpatrick (left thumb) participated in the early portion of Wednesday's practice, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, Fitzpatrick -- who was sporting a protective glove on his non-throwing hand -- "was spotted taking snaps from under center and executing a left-handed handoff." That's an encouraging development for Fitzpatrick, who is dealing with ligament damage in his left hand. At this stage, it appears as though Fitzpatrick's chances of playing Sunday against the Jaguars could come down to a question of pain-tolerance.

Coach Todd Bowles indicated that Fitzpatrick (thumb) and Geno Smith (shoulder) are "in the same boat" in terms of their chances of playing Sunday against the Jaguars, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Cimini, the Jets' Week 9 starter at QB is "a multiple choice QB question," with options including Fitzpatrick, Smith, Bryce Petty or even a yet-to-be-signed signal-caller. It's a situation to stay away from this week in fantasy, unless things clear up in short order, which seems like an unlikely scenario here.

Fitzpatrick (hand) was diagnosed with torn ligaments in his left thumb after Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Fitzpatrick was forced out of Sunday's game in the first quarter, giving way to backup Geno Smith, who suffered left shoulder and abdomen injuries late in the fourth quarter. Fitzpatrick had to come back in for a couple of plays, even though the injury made it tough for him to grip the ball. If both Fitzpatrick and Smith are unavailable for Week 9 against the Jaguars, rookie Bryce Petty could make his first career start sooner than expected. The Jets might also consider signing a veteran.
