Fant caught two of three targets for 20 yards in Saturday's 32-25 preseason loss to the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Fant only played 20 offensive snaps, all of which were in the first half, so all three of his targets were from Geno Smith. The 2019 first-round pick was solid as a blocker and pass catcher. Fant didn't need to prove much in the exhibition contest. We should expect his reps to remain limited for the rest of the preseason.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Fant had the "most spectacular camp of anybody" following the team's offseason program, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Seahawks received Fant from Denver in the Russell Wilson trade earlier this offseason, and he seems to already be making a strong first impression with the coaching staff. The 2019 first-round pick posted 68 catches for 670 yards and four touchdowns last season while catching passes from Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock. Lock will compete with Geno Smith to start for the Seahawks in 2022, and neither quarterback should be considered an upgrade. Nevertheless, Fant has an opportunity to be a solid underneath threat while DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett draw the attention of defenses.

The Seahawks picked up the fifth-year option on Fant's rookie contract Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 2019 first-round pick was part of the March trade that sent Russell Wilson to the Broncos. While Fant's prospects for 2022 partially hinge on Drew Lock, another part of the package received by the Seahawks, improving or the team finding a better quarterback, there's a good chance the 24-year-old tight end will have more than one year to figure things out in Seattle. The fifth-year option is for a fully guaranteed $6.85 million, a reasonable figure from the team's point of view even if Fant hasn't quite lived up to the standards of a 20th overall draft pick. The upcoming season will be his fourth in the NFL, with the option then applying to 2023.

The Broncos dealt Fant, quarterback Drew Lock, defensive end Shelby Harris and five draft picks to the Seahawks for Russell Wilson and a fourth-round pick Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the move, Fant potentially will have some familiarity with the potential starting quarterback in his new locale, having played with Lock in each of his three seasons to date. Overall, Fant has 170 catches and 10 touchdowns in 47 career games while racking up at least 500 yards each year. The 2019 first-rounder should slot in as the Seahawks' top tight end in 2022.

Fant caught one of two targets for 16 yards in Saturday's 28-24 loss to the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Fant turned in his lowest reception total of the season Saturday, but he still finished the campaign with a respectable 68-670-4 receiving line. The tight end talent is undeniable, but Denver's weak quarterback often made him difficult to rely on for steady production. The 24-year-old has one year remaining on his rookie contract, but it may take an upgrade at the quarterback position for him to raise his production and secure a long-term extension before he reaches free agency.

Fant (quadriceps) doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Chiefs, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant received clearance for the season finale after practicing fully Thursday after he had been listed as a limited participant on the Broncos' initial two Week 18 reports. The tight end is coming off an impressive 6-92-1 receiving performance in the Broncos' Week 17 loss to the Chargers, but he could be in store for a reduction in the seven targets he saw in the previous contest now that starting wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick have been cleared to play following one-game stints on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Fant (quadriceps) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant was also listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report after presumably picking up the injury while catching six of seven targets for 92 yards and a touchdown during the Week 17 loss to the Chargers. The 24-year-old could avoid an injury designation for Saturday's matchup with the Chiefs if he's able to practice fully Thursday.

Denver listed Fant as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report due to a quadriceps injury, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Denver had two of its three starting wideouts in Jerry Jeudy (illness) and Tim Patrick (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Fant took on an expanded role in the passing attack in the team's 34-13 loss to the Chargers in Week 17. Fant finished with six receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown on seven targets, with the yardage total just five off his season-best mark. In the aftermath of the busy game, Fant is apparently banged up, but his listing as a limited participant offers hope that he'll be ready to go by the time Saturday's season finale against the Chiefs arrives.

Fant caught six of seven targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-13 loss to the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
He was the Broncos' leading receiver on the afternoon, although his five-yard TD late in the fourth quarter did little but boost his fantasy production. Fant has set new career highs in catches (67) and touchdowns (four) this season, and he needs only 20 more receiving yards in Week 18 against Kansas City to reach a new personal best in that category as well.

Fant secured three of four targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
Fant's underwhelming season continued in Week 16, as the tight end failed to produce much for fantasy purposes. Notably, Fant has not found the end zone since Week 6, the last time the Broncos played the Raiders. The Broncos' passing game has been ineffective for the majority of the season, and it was more of the same with Drew Lock starting under center. Fant and the Broncos will visit the Chargers in Week 17, but the 6-foot-4, 249-pounder will be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.
