Fant (hand) agreed to terms on a two-year, $21 million contract with the Seahawks on Monday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant, a 2019 first-round pick for the Broncos, has accumulated 2,805 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns across his first five seasons. He's coming off a disappointing contract year with Seattle that saw him record 414 yards and no touchdowns on 32 receptions across 17 games. However, the 26-year-old showed enough for the team to continue believing in him as a top option at tight end, which he currently projects to be entering the 2024 campaign due to the departures of both Will Dissly (Chargers) and Colby Parkinson (Rams) in free agency.

Fant (hand) recorded 32 receptions for 414 yards and no touchdowns across 17 games during the 2023 regular season.
EDGE Analysis
Fant played out the fifth year of his rookie contract, but he posted career lows in receptions, yards and touchdowns. The Iowa product surpassed 50 yards just twice this season. The 26-year-old tight end suffered a hand injury in the season finale. It shouldn't be a long-term issue or affect his value as a free agent in March, but the market may be softened for Fant after such a tough season.

Fant (hand) won't return to Sunday's game in Arizona, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant left the contest late in the first quarter and has being tended to by team trainers on the bench before Seattle ruled him out. In Fant's stead, Will Dissly should serve as the top tight end, with Colby Parkinson and Brady Russell also chipping at the position. Coach Pete Carroll said after the game that Fant cracked a bone in his hand, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.

Fant exited Sunday's game at Arizona due to a hand injury.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to his departure in the first quarter, Fant hadn't made an impact in the box score. Colby Parkinson, Will Dissly and Brady Russell will man tight end for the Seahawks for as long as Fant is sidelined.

Fant secured five of six targets for 59 yards during Sunday's 30-23 defeat to the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
One week removed from failing to record a catch for the third time in 15 contests on the campaign, Fant recorded season bests in catches and targets while posting his second-highest yardage tally. Sunday's outing also marked the first time he surpassed 50 receiving yards in a game since Week 4. As a result, Fant likely will be hard-pressed to produce Week 18 on the road versus the Cardinals.

Fant (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough, but his return to all activity one day later indicates the tight end likely was given a maintenance day to kick off Week 17 prep. He'll thus retain his role as the Seahawks' No. 1 tight end Sunday versus the Steelers, which hasn't yielded much in terms of production (27-355-0 on 37 targets in 15 games) this season.

Fant (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's walkthrough, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since going without a target back in Week 1, Fant's number of looks ranged from between one and five in the Seahawks' next 13 games before again getting blanked this past Sunday's win over Tennessee. Overall, he's produced a modest 27-355-0 receiving line on 37 targets through 15 contests, but his lack of activity to kick off Week 17 prep now places a cloud over his upcoming availability. Still, Fant has two more chances this week to put himself in a position to play Sunday against the Steelers.

Fant failed to draw a single target in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Fant dominated the offensive snap share at tight end, playing 76 percent of the Seahawks' snaps Sunday. Meanwhile, fellow tight ends Colby Parkinson and Will Dissly saw snap shares of 37 and 26 percent, respectively. Despite seeing the second-most playing time among the position group, Parkinson was the most involved in the passing attack, catching three of four targets for 17 yards and a touchdown.

Fant caught three of five targets for 16 yards in Monday's 20-17 win over the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Drew Lock got the start at quarterback for the Seahawks, and Fant has a history with the signal caller dating back to their days in Denver. In turn, Fant received a season-high five targets, although that didn't translate to much production. It's unclear whether Geno Smith will be back in Week 16, but regardless, it will be tough to trust Fant. After all, he's averaging 25.3 yards per game with no touchdowns.

Fant caught two of four targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Fant is still struggling to make a consistent impact in this offense, but he has managed to post at least 35 yards in back-to-back games. The 2019 first-round pick has produced 24 receptions for 339 yards and no touchdowns through 13 games. He'll need to find paydirt to have any fantasy upside this season.
