Fant (undisclosed) is on the active/PUP list for the start of training camp, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
No injury or surgery was reported this offseason, but that doesn't necessarily mean nothing happened. It's also possible this is something minor that cropped up recently before the start of training camp, in which case Fant should be back on the field in short order. His competition for TE snaps looks much the same as last year, with Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson also returning to Seattle.

Fant posted 50 catches (63 targets) for 486 yards and four touchdowns through 17 games during the 2022 season.
EDGE Analysis
While Fant tied his career high of four touchdowns, this was his worst season in terms of receiving yards. The fourth-year tight end split snaps with Will Dissly for the first 15 games, but when Dissly went down with a knee injury, Fant didn't take over the No. 1 job. Instead, Colby Parkinson leapfrogged Fant and operated as the clear top tight end. That setup is concerning for Fant heading into 2023, as both Dissly and Parkinson are under contract for at least one more year.

Fant (knee) doesn't have a designation for Saturday's wild-card contest at San Francisco, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant's practice limitations stem back to Week 16 prep as he tends to a knee injury, which didn't allow him to participate in Tuesday's walkthrough. But he managed limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday and now is ready to go for the first round of the postseason. While playing through his current health concern, Fant has recorded a cumulative 8-72-1 line on 10 targets over the last three games while operating behind fellow tight end Colby Parkinson.

Fant (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant has had practice limitations since Week 16 prep due to a knee issue, which kept him out of Tuesday's walk-through session entirely. His return to drills one day later bodes well for his chances of suiting up in Saturday's wild-card contest at San Francisco. Thursday's injury report may clear up Fant's status, and if it does, he'll be destined to team with Colby Parkinson as one of the Seahawks' top two tight ends this weekend.

Fant (knee) was listed as a non-participant at Tuesday's walk-through practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Due to the lingering knee injury, Fant has sat out the first practice of the week ahead of each of the Seahawks' last three games, but he's proceeded to suit up for each contest while producing a collective 8-72-1 receiving line on 10 targets. Assuming he didn't suffer any sort of major setback with the knee during this past Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams, Fant should be good to go for this Saturday's wild-card game in San Francisco. If that's the case, Fant would once again be in line to split snaps at tight end with Colby Parkinson.

Fant caught all four of his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win versus the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Fant operated as the No. 2 tight end behind Colby Parkinson for a second straight week. He still managed to play 45 offensive snaps (64 percent) and ranked third on the team in targets, but he didn't gain more than eight yards on any of his catches. Fant has the ability to stretch the field with his speed. However, his current usage is concerning for fantasy purposes as the Seahawks head to the playoffs.

Fant (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant was a limited practice participant Thursday and Friday after resting up Wednesday. He's been playing through the knee injury for a few weeks, but it might explain why Colby Parkinson benefited more after Will Dissly went on injured reserve with his own knee injury last week. In the 23-6 win over the Jets, Fant handled his typical snap share (62 percent) but saw only three targets.

Fant (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fant may be following the same practice regimen as last week, when he was a DNP on Wednesday before capping it with back-to-back limited sessions. In that scenario, he didn't carry a designation into this past Sunday's game against the Jets, when he hauled in two of three targets for 40 yards. Ultimately, Friday's injury report will reveal if Fant is cleared ahead of Sunday's contest versus the Rams.

Fant (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
For a third week in a row, Fant is operating under practice limitations due to a knee injury. He still suited up for both of the last two games, earning a typical snap share (55 percent Week 16, 63 percent Week 17) on his way to a combined four catches (on six targets) for 52 yards and a touchdown. Fant entered last weekend without a designation for Sunday's game against the Jets, so a repeat of those happenings may befall the tight end this week, too.

Fant caught two of three targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 23-6 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Will Dissly (knee) is on injured reserve, so Fant handled 45 snaps -- his highest mark since Week 8. However, he was surpassed by Colby Parkinson, who logged a season-high 57 snaps (80 percent) and posted five catches for 36 yards and a touchdown. This was a surprising shift, as Fant and Dissly had been running ahead of Parkinson all year. Dynasty managers should keep an eye on Fant's role in the must-win matchup versus the Rams in Week 18.
