The Ravens are expected to meet with free agent DB Michael Huff "within the next five days." The Ravens, Packers, Cowboys and Titans have all reportedly "reached out" to Huff since his March 12 release, but Baltimore would be his first known visit. Huff would have a real chance to start at safety for the Ravens after injuries forced him to make 14 appearances at cornerback for the Raiders last season.

The Ravens, Packers, Cowboys, and Titans have reportedly all reached out to free agent DB Michael Huff since his March 12 release. Baltimore may be particularly interested in Huff; the Ravens currently have no viable Week 1 starting safeties on their roster and GM Ozzie Newsome loved Huff coming out of Texas in 2006. Huff turned 30 years old earlier this month.

Raiders released DB Michael Huff. The versatile defensive back was set to make $4 million, and due a $4 million roster bonus. Parked at corner last season, he was supposedly shifting back to safety in 2013. Corners make more money, but we'd assume Huff will shop himself as a safety, with his versatility being a sticking point. Oakland is going to be historically bad in 2013.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen confirmed that Michael Huff will stay at safety moving forward. Huff was forced to make fourteen 2012 starts at cornerback due to Oakland's shortage at the position, but he's moving back to free safety for 2013. "At the end of the day, his natural fit is at safety," opined Allen. "But I think he'll do anything we need him to do to give us a chance to be successful."

Raiders DBs Michael Huff (wrist) and Mike Mitchell (neck) left Thursday night's game against the Broncos in the first half. Huff, who has been playing mainly cornerback this season, was thought to have been benched for ineffectiveness, but that's not the case apparently. Mitchell was in the game for SS Tyvon Branch, who left with an ankle injury. Oakland possesses the most banged-up secondary in the league.

Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie says DB Michael Huff's future is "definitely" at safety, and not cornerback. Huff has been mostly playing corner since September, but he'll apparently be shifted back to safety in 2012. Huff signed a four-year, $32 million deal as a safety in July 2011. He has no guaranteed money remaining beyond this season, however. Huff has held his own at corner in the absence of Ron Bartell.

Michael Huff will remain at cornerback for Sunday's game against the Ravens. With Ronald Bartell (shoulder) expected to return this week, there was speculation that Huff could be moved back to safety. However, it sounds like the Raiders will go with Huff and Bartell as the starting corners moving forward. Pat Lee will be demoted from the starting lineup.

The Raiders have temporarily moved Michael Huff to left cornerback. Huff has been a free safety throughout his career, but injuries to Shawntae Spencer and Ronald Bartell have the Raiders scrambling. It's a secondary for fantasy owners to attack weekly. Ben Roethlisberger went off for 384 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions on Sunday.

Raiders FS Michael Huff is seeing snaps at cornerback in this week's practices. Former coach Hue Jackson toyed with moving Huff back to his college position before his firing. The move speaks to how far Huff's play has slipped at safety, and just how banged up the Raiders are at cornerback.

The Raiders have restructured FS Michael Huff and DT Richard Seymour's contracts to clear nearly $12 million in salary cap space. Seymour's deal was overhauled, essentially giving him a brand new five-year, $37.5 million contract that is unlikely to last beyond 2012. (His salary shoots from $925,000 in 2012 to $7.5 million in 2013.) Huff morphed his $8 million in 2012 salary and roster bonus into a base salary of $700,000 plus a "signing" bonus of $7.3 million. Both players will be with the Raiders in 2012.
